Excerpt from Robed and Crowned: A Memorial of Mrs. Nettie Hill Weeden Very soon after the death of our dear daughter a letter was received from a friend, in which he said: "It is the judgment of many of our preachers who were so well acquainted with your now sainted daughter that more of her life-character and work should be given to the public and her numerous friends than is furnished in the short obituary that appears in The Christian Advocate. "And it is also the opinion of the brethren that you, being best acquainted with her, would be the proper one to write and publish such a memorial." While the above suggestion found a warm response in our heart, there were reasons that caused as to hesitate. Our love for her while living was deep and intense. Her death and departure caused no abatement of the same. Largely she yet appears to us as the true ideal of a loving, affectionate child, and of complete Christian womanhood.
