Rogue Planet is an unforgettable journey stretching from the farthest reaches of known space to the battlefield of a young boy's heart, where a secret struggle is being waged that will decide the fate of billions. That boy is twelve-year-old Anakin Skywalker. The Force is strong in Anakin so strong that the Jedi Council, despite misgivings, entrusted the young Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi with the mission of training him to become a Jedi Knight. Obi-Wan - like his slain Master, Qui-Gon - believes Anakin may be the chosen one, the Jedi destined to bring balance to the Force. But first Obi-Wan must help his undisciplined, idealistic apprentice, who still bears the scars of slavery, find his own balance. Dispatched to the mysterious planet Zonama Sekot, source of the fastest ships in the galaxy, Obi-Wan and Anakin are swept up in a swirl of deadly intrigue and betrayal. For there are others who covet the power such superfast ships could bring. Commander Wilhuff Tarkin has at his disposal the forces of the mighty Trader Federation with which to extract the secret. Together, they make a formidable foe, one a small and undeveloped planet can hardly hope to stand against. But as Tarkin's fleet strikes with all its brutal power, Obi-Wan and Anakin sense a dist

The mission: make Mars inhabitable for humans with a thermonuclear reawakening. But for the adventurous remnants of the Space Consortium of America, the biggest threat isn’t from the erupting rage of the Red Planet. It’s from a treacherous blue marble called Earth . . . ROGUE PLANET You’d think Captain Ry Devans was a hero when he jumpstarted the cores of Mars, giving the previously dormant planet a fresh start at harboring life. But he’s also the host of a life-saving alien microbe, and the most wanted man within thirty-three million miles—courtesy of the terrorist global juggernaut the Earth First Faction, and its sociopathic agent Paton Schiflet. They’re doing everything in their power to quash the organized inhabitation of space and keep the last humans under control. Now that the EFF has dispatched its own insanely weaponized crew, Devans and his dirty-dozen team have three options: fight, surrender, or witness the extinction of the thousands of civilians repopulating space. For Devans and outlaw partner Dr. Karen Wagner, option number one is is the only way to go—but the odds against them are astronomical. Not only are moles undermining every offensive tactic, but some on MOS-1 are exhibiting dangerously psychotic mood swings. Is it just an extreme case of space crazy? Or a new microbial gift from Mars that could kill their mission before the war with EFF even begins? “Interesting and intelligent.” —Dave Drake on Detonation Event

Dr. Randall Jenkins, astronomer at Stanford, discovers that NASA has concealed pictures of a rogue planet taken in 1983, kept from the public by reason of plausible deniability. Since he has worked on projects with President Winston Darcy, he tells him about the pictures. He is immediately dispatched to the New Zealand where a NASA astronomer had plotted the orbit of the planet, took pictures through a camera set up on New Zealand, gave the package to NASA. The package disappeared, and the astronomer died of cancer. A young astronomer living on the island tells Jenkins he has a copy of the package. When Jenkins asks for possession of the file, he warns him that he himself was shot without disclosing his possession of the file. After receiving the file Randall is accosted by a man who reluctantly gives him the name of the inside man in NASA. When the President Darcy sees the pictures, he immediately calls for the appearance of the NASA Administrator. When he fails to appear, he removes him from office and appoints the assistant administrator, Dr. Greenbrier as leader of NASA. Greenbrier finds the original copy and presents it to the President. Greenbrier explains that the planet is in the solar system and its gravitational force is already causing hurricanes and floods, including tsunamis. When Greenbrier is found floating in the Yukon River, the President calls on Dr. Jenkins to join a team to uncover the truth. Immediate reports claim that the Yellowstone caldaria is threatening to erupt, already the Rim of Fire is activated and dormant as well as new volcanoes are erupting. Jenkins explains that an eruption of the Yellowstone caldaria would spew ash and pumice, covering the sun and place the U.S. in total darkness. Crops would fail, people would starve. The UN is helpless. Fortunately the planet finally moves out of the solar system as the earth struggles to survive. Dr. Jenkins reports that the earth's poles have reversed, and seasons are changed. Darcy has studies that the planet will survive, but is stunned by Jenkins report that Planet Nibiru has a period of 3,600 years and will return.

Hidden away from near-Earth planets in remote spiral arms of the Galaxy are Human worlds that have lost contact with more progressive worlds and reverted to strange and primitive customs and traditions, their leaders using religion, superstition, and imported technologies to rule in tyranny. Survey ships explored and catalogued these planets as suitable for future colonization centuries earlier, but groups with a special interest in ensuring a homogeneous and often despotic society didn't bother applying for permission to colonize. Following the ITUIP (Interstellar Trade Union of Independent Planets) Protocol, ships are restricted to observe and maintain a hands-off policy for these rogue planets, even when there is great temptation to intervene. Eden, where a theocracy rules with an iron fist, is such a planet. A group of rebels struggles to end the oppressive regime to forge a new future. Set in the same universe as the "Chaos Chronicles Trilogy" and the Dr. Carlos stories, this saga, mixing the best of hard sci-fi and swashbuckling fantasy, once again explores the never-ending battle between good and evil so prominent in the author's works. It's another surprising and entertaining addition to his already extensive collection of sci-fi, mystery, and thriller tales. What reviewers said about some of Steve's previous sci-fi books: Survivors of the Chaos: ..".Moore has a way of describing his characters that really makes them come to life.... Through some pretty varied characters, you get to see the vast and detailed setting that the author envisioned, sometimes through some pretty unexpected plot twists."-Kellie Sheridan, Sift Book Reviews More than Human: The Mensa Contagion: ..".kept me turning pages after I should have put the book down.... I found the characters well developed and the plot fresh. I was reminded of Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy."-Debra Miller, Amazon reviewer

"Rogue Planet: Fortress At The Top Of The World" is a new novel in the classic Planetary Romance genre, in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Lin Carter, and Alan Burt Akers. Full of swashbuckling adventure, alien landscapes, and relics of forgotten science, this novel is sure to appeal to any fan of pulp action. Forty years ago, a drifting world -- a rogue planet -- passed through the solar system. Using scavenged alien technology, a single ship was launched from Earth, in the hopes of contacting whoever or whatever might be controlling the unknown intruder. Officially, neither the planet nor the mission ever existed. Unofficially, the ship and its pilot were both lost without a trace, but even that was a lie. There were reports. They were ordered destroyed, but were instead lost and forgotten for decades. Now they have been found. This book contains the first of them...
