In 1976 Stephen Heidenreich was the top candidate to make the Olympic team that year. Stephen anchored the Indiana University 4-mile relay team to a world indoor record in 1974. In 1975, he ran eight sub-4 minute miles. In 1976, he was the first Big Ten runner to run a 4-minute flat mile indoors. The Olympics was his next challenge. Then a near-fatal hit-and-run accident while he was training changed his life forever. His neurosurgeon gave him a five percent chance of survival with little hope of ever recovering beyond a vegetative state.Despite these unfavorable odds, Heidenreich completed a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Health Administration, and a Master's in Education specializing in Special Education. He even trained for the 1980 Moscow Olympics. By applying the world-class athletic training and skills that he learned while training under three Olympic Track and Field Coaches in his recovery and life, Stephen was able to beat the medical odds and succeed in academics, business, and life. OVER 50,000 COPIES SOLD! How do we live faithfully in a country becoming more and more hostile to our faith in Christ? Like the Israelites in Babylon, we must find a way to maintain our faith in the midst of a pagan culture. But that requires we answer two crucial questions: How did we get here? How do we prepare for the dark and difficult days ahead? In The Church in Babylon, Dr. Lutzer answers both of these questions. He will walk you through the many parallels between the church in America and God's people in Babylon, and embolden you to be a gospel witness. You'll be encouraged not to compromise your faith even when under constant pressure from all corners of society. And more than all this you will have a fresh encounter with Jesus Christ, as you consider the biblical role of those in exile.

Islam is on the rise all over the West, including America. In this compelling new book, bestselling author Erwin Lutzer urges Christians to see this as both an opportunity to share the gospel and a reason for concern. We have now reached a tipping point—the spread of Islam is rapidly altering the way we live. These changes are cause for alarm, for they endanger our freedoms of speech and religion. At the same time, this opens an incredible door of ministry for Christians, for Muslims normally do not have access to the gospel in their own lands. In The Cross in the Shadow of the Crescent, readers will discover helpful answers to these questions and more: How does Islam’s growing influence affect me personally? In what ways are our freedoms of speech and religion in danger? How can I extend Christ’s love to Muslims around me? A sensitive, responsible, and highly informative must-read!
