Report on a major rescue excavation of a Late Bronze Age waterfront site with exceptional preservation of deposits buried under the flood silts of the Thames. This volume analyses the stratigraphy, structural evidence and finds from a part of the site that included the foundations of a Late Bronze Age enclosure stockade set in the edge of a contemporary river channel. The well preserved environmental evidence provides a detailed picture of developments in the local environment; a concluding discussion looks at the nature of the settlements in terms of roles, contacts and status.
