With specific attention to irregular migrant workers - that is to say, those without legal permits to stay in the countries in which they work - this volume focuses on domestic work, presenting studies from ten European countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. Offering a comparative analysis of irregular migrants engaged in all kinds of domestic work, the authors explore questions relating to employment conditions, health issues and the family lives of migrants. The book examines the living and working conditions of irregular migrant domestic workers, their relations with employers, their access to basic rights such as sick leave, sick pay, and holiday pay, as well as access to health services. Close consideration is also given to the challenges for family life presented by workers' status as irregular migrants, with regard to their lives both in their countries of origin and with their employers. Through analyses of the often blurred distinction between legality and illegality, the notion of a ’career’ in domestic work and the policy responses of European nations to the growth of irregular migrant domestic work, this volume offers various conceptual developments in the study of migration and domestic work. As such, it will appeal to sociologists, political scientists, geographers and anthropologists with interests in migration, gender, the family and domestic work.

Il est nécessaire d'enregistrer les personnes suivantes: salariés en CDI ou en CDD, salariés étrangers, travailleurs titulaires d'un contrat d'apprentissage ou d'un contrat de professionnalisation, stagiaires, volontaires en service civique, travailleurs à domicile, salariés temporaires et salariés mis à disposition par un groupement d'employeurs.Les salariés sont enregistrés par ordre chronologique d'arrivée dans l'établissement. Les enregistrements sont faits à l'encre indélébile. Les informations qui doivent figurer sur le registre unique du personnel concernent l'identité du salarié, les informations sur la nature du poste, le type du contrat, les dates d'embauche et de départ de l'entreprise. Pour les salariés étrangers les copies des titres qui autorisent l'activité salariale doivent être placées en annexe.Si l'entreprise dispose de plusieurs établissements, l'employeur doit tenir dans chacun des établissement un registre unique du personnel.Ce document et ses éventuelles annexes sont tenus à la disposition des fonctionnaires et agents de contrôle de l'inspection du travail et du code de la sécurité sociale. Ils sont également tenus à la disposition du comité social et économique et des délégués du personnel. La personne embauchée peut avoir accès aux informations la concernant.Les mentions doivent être conservées 5 ans à compter de la date de départ du salarié.Si l'employeur ne dispose pas d'un registre unique du personnel ou si celui-ci est erroné ou incomplet ou bien s'il ne le présente pas aux agents et fonctionnaires chargés d'un contrôle, il s'expose à une contravention.
