Luckily they wreck off the island of Bermuda. The island holds many new adventures, but Salt wants to get to the New World, so when the humans build two more boats, he joins them. They make it to the New World, but find a horror there that none of them expected. Salt and the Sea Venture is Juvenile Historical Fiction, written for ages 8-12. It also includes a non-fiction section. Facts are provided about the historical figures, the workings of 17th century sailing ships, the society of the time, and the flora and fauna they encountered.
