Buku ini membahas seluk-beluk nololo dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Fataluku. Nololo merupakan sebuah tradisi sastra lisan masyarakat Fataluku berupa larik-larik puisi yang berpasangan secara paralel. Nololo bisanya dituturkan pada berbagai kesempatan ritual atau seremonial formal, khususnya dalam membicarakan urusan-urusan yang dianggap penting. Urusan-urusan itu misalnya: persiapan perang, pembukaan kebun baru, permohonan hujan, memandu arwah untuk mencapai tempat yang 'aman' di alam baka, panen, upacara perkawinan, kematian, dan permohonan di dalam berbagai kesulitan serta kepentingan manusia. Dalam berbagai kesempatan ritual formal itu, tua-tua adat yang dianggap memegang otoritas (nawarana) diminta untuk menuturkan nololo. Menelusuri perjalanan leluhur di masa lampau merupakan salah satu konvensi penuturannya. Ada kepercayaan bahwa penuturan yang tidak sesuai dengan tradisi akan membawa malapetaka, baik bagi penuturnya maupun bagi pendengarnya

In the discourse of Indonesian literature history, the relationship between literature and politics is pressing issue, a situation that cannot be easily to overcome. A long time ago, during the Dutch colonial government, there was a rule that literature should not discuss ideology, religion, and politics. This colonial policy lasts and never changes even though Indonesia was already get its independence. Thats why Indonesian literary society and writers have a strong believe that literature must not be involved in politics and it must not have any moral and political goals. Literature cannot be related to real-life directly because literature is only a fictional work. The historical aspects outside literature are considered as a background or a foreground that cannot destroy the authentic characteristics of the literary works as imaginary fictional works. Literary works tend to be only considered as entertainment tools that narrate an alternative world, which is totally different from the world where we are living. This book will be the first in discussing the relationship between literature and politics. Students and experts of various sciences who would like to understand the episteme of the New Order can get benefits from this book. This book gives us a reflection that the development is for human beings, not the human beings are for the development. The humanistic development dimension must be a must. Literary works still exist continuously to guard the Indonesians' struggles in defending their human dignity.

Antologi Puisi Kabar dari Kampung ini merupakan buku kumpulan puisi ketiga karya Yoseph Yapi Taum. Buku ini bersisi 60 karya puisi yang disusun dengan sistem dan urutan kronologis daripada tematik. Ditinjau dari sudut sistem konfigurasi teks, terdapat tiga kelompok puisi yang sesungguhnya memiliki tema penting tersendiri, yakni "Kabar dari Kampung" (puisi nomor 1 -20), "Bunga Seroja di Tanah Kami" (21-46), dan "Aku Pulang Kampung" (puisi nomor 47 - 60). Bagi filsuf Friedrich Nietzsche, puisi adalah bentuk seni yang paling murni yang memanfaatkan kekuatan kata-kata untuk membangkitkan ingatan, emosi, dan pikiran pembaca. Puisi-puisi yang terhimpun di dalam antologi puisi ini membangkitkan emosi dan kerinduan pembaca pada kampung halaman. Ada tiga unsur penting di dalam konstruksi naratif tentang kampung halaman di dalam antologi puisi ini. Pertama, di dalam antologi puisi ini terdapat banyak gambaran suasana dan nilai-nilai pedesaan atau pesisir yang masih terawat dan terjaga dengan baik. Kedua, ada gambaran unsur-unsur nostalgia, yakni memandang ke belakang, ke masa lalu, ke masa kanak-kanak di dalam antologi puisi ini. Ketiga, terdapat deskripsi unsur georgik, yang menampilkan kenyamanan bekerja dan kehidupan yang harmonis di kampung halaman. Antologi puisi seperti ini tentu menarik untuk dikaji dengan menggunakan perspektif ekokritik, khususnya model kritik narasi pastoral.
