La raccolta non pretende essere un libro di storia, ne pretende costituire un relato storico completo, ma e semplicemente solo una raccolta di "schegge," di note ed appunti cioe, sulle vicende piu rappresentative della plurimillenaria storia della citta, raccontate cronologicamente in maniera puntuale semplice e, spero, amena. Gli spunti principali di queste "schegge" provengono dalla "Cronaca dei Sindaci di Brindisi" per gli anni dal 1529 al 1860; mentre per i precedenti, dalle origini fino al 1529, gli spunti provengono tutti dalle sconfinate pagine del web.
