Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Beim Beruf des Rettungsassistenten handelt es sich um ein Berufsbild, das es in Deutschland seit 20 Jahren gibt. Geregelt ist es im Rettungsassistentengesetz vom 10. Juli 1989. In diesem Gesetz sind die Ausbildungsziele formuliert und zu deren Erreichung eine Ausbildungsdauer, bei Ableistung in Vollzeitform, von insgesamt 24 Monaten festgelegt. Auf diese Zeit entfällt im ersten Teil der Ausbildung ein mindestens 1200 Stunden umfassender Lehrgang an einer staatlich anerkannten Rettungsdienstschule in den ersten 12 Monaten. Im Anschluss daran folgt die praktische Tätigkeit an einer von der zuständigen Behörde zur Annahme von Praktikanten ermächtigten Einrichtung des Rettungsdienstes (Lehrrettungswache) im Umfang von mindestens 1600 Stunden und einer Dauer von ebenfalls 12 Monaten. Nach §10 RettAssG 2 wird der Bundesminister für Jugend, Familie, Frauen und Gesundheit u.a. ermächtigt, Mindestanforderungen an den Lehrgang und die anschließende praktische Tätigkeit zu regeln. Dieses erfolgte mit Hilfe der Ausbildungs- und Prüfungsverordnung für Rettungsassistentinnen und Rettungsassistenten vom 7. November 1989, zuletzt geändert durch Artikel 20 des Gesetzes vom 2. Dezember 2007. Während die Ausbildungsinhalte der theoretischen und praktischen Ausbildung an einer autorisierten Schule in den ersten 12 Monaten in Anlage 1 dieser Verordnung wenigstens grob geregelt sind, wird auf die praktische Ausbildung im 2. Ausbildungsjahr an der Lehrrettungswache inhaltlich nicht umfassend genug eingegangen. Dies hat in der Praxis dazu geführt, dass die Vorgaben nach den RettAssG sowie der RettAssAPrV an den verschiedenen Lehrrettungswachen, zum Teil sogar schon innerhalb einer Wache, sehr unterschiedlich ausgelegt und gehandhabt werden. Dies hat wiederum Auswirkungen auf die Qualität der praktischen Ausbildung. Diese beschriebene Situation gab mir den Anlass, mich in meiner Diplomarbeit mit der Thematik auseinanderzusetzen und Möglichkeiten zur Verbesserung aus berufspraktischer Sicht aufzuzeigen. Die unzureichend formulierten Vorgaben durch die Gesetzgebung bieten Spielräume. Diese sind zur Verbesserung der praktischen Ausbildung nutzbar. Ich denke dabei an bundesweite oder zunächst bundeslandweite, in unserem Fall Brandenburg, Rahmenbedingungen, bei denen einerseits bestimmte Verfahrensweisen einzuhalten sind und andererseits genügend Freiräume für eine situations- und persönlichkeitsabhängige Praktikumsgestaltung bleiben.
