We report on searches for supersymmetric particles with the D0 detector at the Fermilab p{ovr p} collider at (square root)s = 1800 GeV. The four searches are: (1) for squarks and gluinos in the jets + missing transverse energy channel, (2) for a light top squark in the jets + missing transverse energy channel, (3) for squarks and gluinos in the dielectron channel, and (4) for charginos and neutralinos in the trilepton channel. The first two searches use data from the 1992- 93 collider run, and the latter two use data from the 1994-95 collider run. 6 refs., 4 figs., 1 tab.

A search for Supergravity squark and gluino decays into di-leptons is presented. A novel search strategy of optimizing kinematic thresholds at each point in the three dimensional space of m[sub 0] -m[sub 1/2] -tan [beta] is employed. The model space is randomly scanned using a parameterized fast Monte Carlo. No events are observed above Standard Model background in 107.6 pb[sup -1] of Tevatron data collected by the D0 detector between 1993-96. Exclusion contours are presented in the m[sub 0] -m[sub 1/2] plane. At the 95% confidence level, a lower limit is set on the mass of gluinos of 129 GeV/c[sup 2] and on the mass of squarks of 138 GeV/c[sup 2] for all tan [beta]

This thesis reports on a search for evidence of production and decay of squarks (q) and gluinos (g) of Minimal Supergravity (mSUGRA) in p[bar p] collisions at a center of mass energy of 1.8 TeV using the D0 detector at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Data corresponding to 79.2[+-] 4.2 pb[sup -1] were examined for events with large missing transverse energy (E[sub T]), three or more jets, high energy leading jet, and the absence of isolated leptons. Since no events were observed in excess of Standard Model background predictions, limits are placed in the mSUGRA M[sub 0] - M[sub[1/2]] plane for fixed parameters tan[beta]= 2, A[sub o]= 0, and[mu]

A search for squarks and gluinos is performed in the topology of multijet events accompanied by large missing transverse energy in 2.1fb−1 of p{bar p} collision data collected using the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider at a center of mass energy of 1.96 TeV. About half of this dataset is specifically analyzed for events involving at least one tau lepton decaying hadronically in addition. No deviation from the Standard Model expectation is observed and the analyses are combined to set limits on the squark and gluino masses and on parameters of minimal supergravity.

This contribution reports on preliminary measurements of searches for squarks and gluinos at CDF and D0 detectors in p{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1.96 TeV using 1 fb−1 of data. The analyses are optimized for event topologies with multiple jets and large missing transverse energy in the final state. No excess with respect to the Standard Model predictions is observed and new limits on the gluino and squark masses are extracted in a mSUGRA scenario with R-parity conservation.

No evidence for the production of such particles were observed and lower limits on squarks and gluino masses were set.
