Kathleen Ann explains how the misunderstood, and often neglected soul, is an active tool and the missing link meant to be used with our talents right now to fulfill our true identity and purpose with Dignity, Integrity and Grace. Soul thinking challenges many centuries-old, ego-driven beliefs that ceased to serve our own, and humanity’s, best interests a long time ago. SOS: Simplicity of Soul shows how soul thinking is the answer to correcting the chaos challenging the world today. Imagine this wonderful truth: “When soul-driven, you are no longer alone and separate on this beautiful planet, but a unique and cherished thread in the magnificent tapestry that is Existence.” This short, evocative and inspiring book invites you to awaken your true self by simply igniting your soul, as a God-given birthright, for your happiness, the happiness of others, and your intended role in humanity’s evolution to perfection.

The Laws Of Simplicity written by John Maeda and has been published by MIT Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-07-07 with Design categories.
Ten laws of simplicity for business, technology, and design that teach us how to need less but get more. Finally, we are learning that simplicity equals sanity. We're rebelling against technology that's too complicated, DVD players with too many menus, and software accompanied by 75-megabyte "read me" manuals. The iPod's clean gadgetry has made simplicity hip. But sometimes we find ourselves caught up in the simplicity paradox: we want something that's simple and easy to use, but also does all the complex things we might ever want it to do. In The Laws of Simplicity, John Maeda offers ten laws for balancing simplicity and complexity in business, technology, and design—guidelines for needing less and actually getting more. Maeda—a professor in MIT's Media Lab and a world-renowned graphic designer—explores the question of how we can redefine the notion of "improved" so that it doesn't always mean something more, something added on. Maeda's first law of simplicity is "Reduce." It's not necessarily beneficial to add technology features just because we can. And the features that we do have must be organized (Law 2) in a sensible hierarchy so users aren't distracted by features and functions they don't need. But simplicity is not less just for the sake of less. Skip ahead to Law 9: "Failure: Accept the fact that some things can never be made simple." Maeda's concise guide to simplicity in the digital age shows us how this idea can be a cornerstone of organizations and their products—how it can drive both business and technology. We can learn to simplify without sacrificing comfort and meaning, and we can achieve the balance described in Law 10. This law, which Maeda calls "The One," tells us: "Simplicity is about subtracting the obvious, and adding the meaningful."

Secrets written by Jacob Vance and has been published by BRILL this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-09-11 with History categories.
In Secrets: Humanism, Mysticism, and Evangelism in Erasmus of Rotterdam, Bishop Guillaume Briçonnet, and Marguerite de Navarre, Jacob Vance argues that Erasmus and French Evangelical humanists made secrecy central to their literary thought. They revived Scriptural, medieval, and early Renaissance notions of secrecy in their spiritual and profane literature to advance the reforms in church and society that they advocated. Erasmus, Briçonnet, and Marguerite expanded on Origenian, Augustinian, and pseudo-Dionysian concepts of divine mystery, as being secret, throughout their works. By developing the idea that the divine remains both transcendent and immanent in the world of creation, these humanists explored, through literature, how the human spirit can either accede, or fail to accede, to the secrets of Christian wisdom.

Business Secrets Of The Trappist Monks written by August Turak and has been published by Columbia University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-07-09 with Business & Economics categories.
August Turak is a successful entrepreneur, corporate executive, and award-winning author who attributes much of his success to living and working alongside the Trappist monks of Mepkin Abbey for seventeen years. As a frequent monastic guest, he learned firsthand from the monks as they grew an incredibly successful portfolio of businesses. Service and selflessness are at the heart of the 1,500-year-old monastic tradition's remarkable business success. It is an ancient though immensely relevant economic model that preserves what is positive and productive about capitalism while transcending its ethical limitations and internal contradictions. Combining vivid case studies from his thirty-year business career with intimate portraits of the monks at work, Turak shows how Trappist principles can be successfully applied to a variety of secular business settings and to our personal lives as well. He demonstrates that monks and people like Warren Buffett are wildly successful not despite their high principles but because of them. Turak also introduces other "transformational organizations" that share the crucial monastic business strategies so critical for success.
