Per l’etnosemiotica che questi Quaderni promuovono, una rinnovata riflessione sul corpo è imprescindibile. Questo volume riapre i giochi, torna a parlare di corpo e di linguaggio sperando in una nuova stagione che sappia riformulare i termini della discussione, dove, anche qui, il linguaggio non sia pensabile altrove che nelle pieghe del mondo e il corpo non possa essere pensato altrimenti che nel suo potere significante. Non si tratta allora di riprendere il tema del corpo passando attraverso le grandi figure tradizionali che sono appena trascorse: il corpo-proprio della fenomenologia (il corpo della propriocezione, il corpo che fornisce sostanza viva alla coscienza come interno che si oppone ad un esterno che è altro), o al lato opposto il corpo dei vari embodiments di cui la linguistica è andata sovente alla ricerca (il corpo delle ragioni cognitivo-organiche delle concrezioni semantiche), bensì il corpo nel suo modo, o meglio nella sua natura, di grande trasformatore. Questo corpo è Carne-del-Mondo, è forma della materia (materia che prende e si fa forma), una forma che si svela e funge nelle trasformazioni che produce, assai più trasduzioni che traduzioni, più metamorfosi che catene di corrispondenze. È dunque corpo che si rivela corpo del senso perché il senso non è altro che corpo significante, nelle sue linee di forza, nei suoi flussi, nelle curvature che organizzano la potenza del vivere come ciò che, entro ogni orizzonte, costituisce mondo e presa sul mondo.Su questo che è, da sempre e di nuovo, il tema del corpo, un gruppo di giovani studiosi scommette su un’esigenza di pensiero e, per una nuova riflessione, decide di rilanciare.
