Semitopological Vector Spaces written by Mark Burgin and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-06-26 with Mathematics categories.

This new volume shows how it is possible to further develop and essentially extend the theory of operators in infinite-dimensional vector spaces, which plays an important role in mathematics, physics, information theory, and control theory. The book describes new mathematical structures, such as hypernorms, hyperseminorms, hypermetrics, semitopological vector spaces, hypernormed vector spaces, and hyperseminormed vector spaces. It develops mathematical tools for the further development of functional analysis and broadening of its applications. Exploration of semitopological vector spaces, hypernormed vector spaces, hyperseminormed vector spaces, and hypermetric vector spaces is the main topic of this book. A new direction in functional analysis, called quantum functional analysis, has been developed based on polinormed and multinormed vector spaces and linear algebras. At the same time, normed vector spaces and topological vector spaces play an important role in physics and in control theory. To make this book comprehendible for the reader and more suitable for students with some basic knowledge in mathematics, denotations and definitions of the main mathematical concepts and structures used in the book are included in the appendix, making the book useful for enhancing traditional courses of calculus for undergraduates, as well as for separate courses for graduate students. The material of Semitopological Vector Spaces: Hypernorms, Hyperseminorms and Operators is closely related to what is taught at colleges and universities. It is possible to use a definite number of statements from the book as exercises for students because their proofs are not given in the book but left for the reader.

Near Vector Spaces and Related Topics provides a systematic treatment of the introductory theory of near vector spaces, as well as a range of associated areas. Since many topics in nonlinear analysis rely on the properties established in topological vector space, the concepts and topics presented in this book may stir up the interest of some researchers working in mathematical analysis, especially nonlinear analysis, and thus may potentially open a new avenue of research. The main prerequisites for most of the material in this book are basic concepts of functional analysis, including the basic tools of topology. This book is accessible to senior undergraduate students in mathematics and may also be used as a graduate level text, or as a reference for researchers who work on the applications of nonlinear analysis. Features Valuable resource for researchers and postgraduate students interested in the foundation of fuzzy sets and nonlinear analysis Presents new, previously unpublished material on near vector spaces Well-organised and comprehensive treatment of the subject.

Function Spaces written by Krzysztof Jarosz and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007 with Mathematics categories.

This book consists of contributions by the participants of the Fifth Conference on Function Spaces, held at Southern Illinois University in May of 2006. The papers cover a broad range of topics, including spaces and algebras of analytic functions of one and of many variables (and operators on such spaces), $L{p $-spaces, spaces of Banach-valued functions, isometries of function spaces, geometry of Banach spaces, and other related subjects. The goal of the conference was to bring together mathematicians interested in various problems related to function spaces and to facilitate the exchange of ideas between people working on similar problems. Hence, the majority of papers in this book are accessible to non-experts. Some articles contain expositions of known results and discuss open problems, others contain new results.

The Influence Of Solomon Lefschetz In Geometry And Topology written by Ernesto Lupercio and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-08-05 with Mathematics categories.

The influence of Solomon Lefschetz (1884-1972) in geometry and topology 40 years after his death has been very profound. Lefschetz's influence in Mexican mathematics has been even greater. In this volume, celebrating 50 years of mathematics at Cinvestav-México, many of the fields of geometry and topology are represented by some of the leaders of their respective fields. This volume opens with Michael Atiyah reminiscing about his encounters with Lefschetz and México. Topics covered in this volume include symplectic flexibility, Chern-Simons theory and the theory of classical theta functions, toric topology, the Beilinson conjecture for finite-dimensional associative algebras, partial monoids and Dold-Thom functors, the weak b-principle, orbit configuration spaces, equivariant extensions of differential forms for noncompact Lie groups, dynamical systems and categories, and the Nahm pole boundary condition.
