The present monograph serves as a natural extension of the prior 2-volume monograph with the same title and by the same authors, which encompassed findings up until 2014. This four-volume project encapsulates the authors’ decade-long research in the trending topic of nonstandard function spaces and operator theory. One of the main novelties of the present book is to develop the extrapolation theory, generally speaking, in grand Banach function spaces, and to apply it for obtaining the boundedness of fundamental operators of harmonic analysis, in particular, function spaces such as grand weighted Lebesgue and Lorentz spaces, grand variable exponent Lebesgue/Morrey spaces, mixed normed function spaces, etc. Embeddings in grand variable exponent Hajłasz-Sobolev spaces are also studied. Some applications to the approximation theory and boundary value problems of analytic functions are presented as well. The book is aimed at an audience ranging from researchers in operator theory and harmonic analysis to experts in applied mathematics and post graduate students. In particular, we hope that this book will serve as a source of inspiration for researchers in abstract harmonic analysis, function spaces, PDEs and boundary value problems.

The field of variable exponent function spaces has witnessed an explosive growth in recent years. The standard reference article for basic properties is already 20 years old. Thus this self-contained monograph collecting all the basic properties of variable exponent Lebesgue and Sobolev spaces is timely and provides a much-needed accessible reference work utilizing consistent notation and terminology. Many results are also provided with new and improved proofs. The book also presents a number of applications to PDE and fluid dynamics.

Operators Between Sequence Spaces And Applications written by Bruno de Malafosse and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-01-19 with Mathematics categories.

This book presents modern methods in functional analysis and operator theory along with their applications in recent research. The book also deals with the solvability of infinite systems of linear equations in various sequence spaces. It uses the classical sequence spaces, generalized Cesaro and difference operators to obtain calculations and simplifications of complicated spaces involving these operators. In order to make it self-contained, comprehensive and of interest to a larger mathematical community, the authors have presented necessary concepts with results for advanced research topics. This book is intended for graduate and postgraduate students, teachers and researchers as a basis for further research, advanced lectures and seminars.

Variable Lebesgue Spaces written by David V. Cruz-Uribe and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-02-12 with Mathematics categories.

This book provides an accessible introduction to the theory of variable Lebesgue spaces. These spaces generalize the classical Lebesgue spaces by replacing the constant exponent p with a variable exponent p(x). They were introduced in the early 1930s but have become the focus of renewed interest since the early 1990s because of their connection with the calculus of variations and partial differential equations with nonstandard growth conditions, and for their applications to problems in physics and image processing. The book begins with the development of the basic function space properties. It avoids a more abstract, functional analysis approach, instead emphasizing an hands-on approach that makes clear the similarities and differences between the variable and classical Lebesgue spaces. The subsequent chapters are devoted to harmonic analysis on variable Lebesgue spaces. The theory of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator is completely developed, and the connections between variable Lebesgue spaces and the weighted norm inequalities are introduced. The other important operators in harmonic analysis - singular integrals, Riesz potentials, and approximate identities - are treated using a powerful generalization of the Rubio de Francia theory of extrapolation from the theory of weighted norm inequalities. The final chapter applies the results from previous chapters to prove basic results about variable Sobolev spaces.

Orthogonal Polynomials For Exponential Weights written by Eli Levin and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Mathematics categories.

The analysis of orthogonal polynomials associated with general weights was a major theme in classical analysis in the twentieth century, and undoubtedly will continue to grow in importance in the future. In this monograph, the authors investigate orthogonal polynomials for exponential weights defined on a finite or infinite interval. The interval should contain 0, but need not be symmetric about 0; likewise the weight need not be even. The authors establish bounds and asymptotics for orthonormal and extremal polynomials, and their associated Christoffel functions. They deduce bounds on zeros of extremal and orthogonal polynomials, and also establish Markov- Bernstein and Nikolskii inequalities. The authors have collaborated actively since 1982 on various topics, and have published many joint papers, as well as a Memoir of the American Mathematical Society. The latter deals with a special case of the weights treated in this book. In many ways, this book is the culmination of 18 years of joint work on orthogonal polynomials, drawing inspiration from the works of many researchers in the very active field of orthogonal polynomials.

This book provides a systematic development of the Rubio de Francia theory of extrapolation, its many generalizations and its applications to one and two-weight norm inequalities. The book is based upon a new and elementary proof of the classical extrapolation theorem that fully develops the power of the Rubio de Francia iteration algorithm. This technique allows us to give a unified presentation of the theory and to give important generalizations to Banach function spaces and to two-weight inequalities. We provide many applications to the classical operators of harmonic analysis to illustrate our approach, giving new and simpler proofs of known results and proving new theorems. The book is intended for advanced graduate students and researchers in the area of weighted norm inequalities, as well as for mathematicians who want to apply extrapolation to other areas such as partial differential equations.

The contributions in this volume aim to deepen understanding of some of the current research problems and theories in modern topics such as calculus of variations, optimization theory, complex analysis, real analysis, differential equations, and geometry. Applications to these areas of mathematics are presented within the broad spectrum of research in Engineering Science with particular emphasis on equilibrium problems, complexity in numerical optimization, dynamical systems, non-smooth optimization, complex network analysis, statistical models and data mining, and energy systems. Additional emphasis is given to interdisciplinary research, although subjects are treated in a unified and self-contained manner. The presentation of methods, theory and applications makes this tribute an invaluable reference for teachers, researchers, and other professionals interested in pure and applied research, philosophy of mathematics, and mathematics education. Some review papers published in this volume will be particularly useful for a broader audience of readers as well as for graduate students who search for the latest information. Constantin Carathéodory’s wide-ranging influence in the international mathematical community was seen during the first Fields Medals awards at the International Congress of Mathematicians, Oslo, 1936. Two medals were awarded, one to Lars V. Ahlfors and one to Jesse Douglass. It was Carathéodory who presented both their works during the opening of the International Congress. This volume contains significant papers in Science and Engineering dedicated to the memory of Constantin Carathéodory and the spirit of his mathematical influence.
