Que a la fecha en que es publicado, lleva 24 años en cama. Es la voz poética que quiere compartir no sólo con los enfermos, sino con quienes los aman, con quienes los cuidan. Se piensa que un enfermo no tiene nada qué decir, especialmente si está encerrado. La poeta, nos muestra todo lo contrario, tiene mucho que decir, especialmente que se puede amar apasionadamente a una pareja, a pesar de la enfermedad. Y si la actitud de la persona enferma es la sana, puede vivir una vida plena por encima de su enfermedad, por grave que sea. Leer estos poemas, nos llevan a un mundo que la gente sana no imagina, y la enferma no puede expresar con esta claridad y con esta maravillosa visión de lo que es el dolor y la enfermedad cuando son constantes, permanentes como es el caso de la autora. Algo que también es profundamente enriquecedor para los lectores, es la oportunidad de comprender a un ser humano que está discapacitado. Lo estupendo de leer un libro como este, que habla del dolor, la muerte, el valor de la salud y la vida, el valor del amor, es que, de la pluma de una mujer que lo ha vivido en carne propia, tiene un valor inconmensurable. Es un gran regalo esta lectura, y sin duda los lectores, en la medida que lo lean, lo agradecerán, los enfermos por unas razones y los sanos por otra, pero sin duda, esta lectura, cada poema, enriquecerá sus vidas.

Y al cuidar a un enfermo necesariamente descubrimos qué tan generosos somos, o qué tan egoístas, pacientes o impacientes, tolerantes o intolerantes, amorosos o distantes, cálidos o fríos, cariñosos o secos, sabios o ignorantes, en fin, cómo somos realmente… de qué somos capaces y de qué no. Deseo fervientemente que los textos que has leído hayan llegado directamente a tu Alma, sin pasar por la razón… y te hayan ayudado a ensanchar tu nivel de Conciencia, porque a mayor Conciencia, menor dolor, no tengo la menor duda de que la Conciencia es la llave de la libertad. Gracias, porque pocas cosas son tan satisfactorias como capitalizar el dolor que se ha vivido y que exista la posibilidad de que esto pueda servir a otros. Gracias por leerme, porque que me leas es lo que hace posible que yo cumpla con lo que vine a hacer: escribir, curar, hacer Conciencia y amar.”
