Humanity is dying. Much of the population is living in the wild like psychotic animals ravaged by a seemingly incurable disease. J .J. Berger and his Shadow Team are the defenders of the last remnants of Democracy, threatened by the sick and by the totalitarian forces of the East. On the Iberian southern plains, a flicker of hope sparks up, as a little girl and her mother flee their brutal captors towards the dim beacon of civilization still burning in the West. While trying to stop an invading Russian army, Berger and his Special Forces operatives will battle organized gangs, hordes of the sick and mysterious suicidal terrorists. But maybe little Laura and her mother bring the answers and hope they have been longing for. From the author of The Alex 9 Saga and The Dark Sea War Chronicles. With this new series, award-winning author Bruno Martins Soares ventures into a post-apocalyptic world, where his action-filled breathtaking militaristic style rises to a different level, on the southern plains of Spain and Portugal. This is a post-apocalyptic story that is action packed and keeps you reading. I was hooked to this one and didn't want to put it down. I do highly recommend this. Where there's light, there are shadows. Turning your back on your shadow doesn't make it disappear. It's still there and always will be because it's part of you. It's far better to face it and embrace it. In doing so, you'll find the happiness, power, and success you've been searching for. This is my second book on shadow work and within these pages we'll dig in deeper, cover more ground, and do more work that leads to ultimate healing and freedom. I'll show you how to view your shadow traits differently, integrate them, and use them as a powerful force that can help you in life rather than holding you back. It's not about fixing what's broken, but shedding light on those dark parts and understanding every aspect of who you truly are. Eventually, by accepting those less-than-perfect aspects of your personality, you'll be living life as your authentic self. And let me tell you, it feels amazing! I'll be honest, shadow work is not easy, nor is it an overnight fix. Many people give up far too soon. After all, it can be overwhelming when faced with all of your demons and dirty laundry, so to speak. That's why I wrote these books. I don't want you to go down this road alone. I've been doing my own shadow work for a long time now, and have helped many clients through their journey as well. Let me walk with you as you face and embrace your shadows.

The Musical Discourse Of Servitude written by Harry White and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-09-14 with Music categories.

Examining, for the first time, the compositions of Johann Joseph Fux in relation to his contemporaries Bach and Handel, The Musical Discourse of Servitude presents a new theory of the late baroque musical imagination. Author Harry White contrasts musical "servility" and "freedom" in his analysis, with Fux tied to the prevailing servitude of the day's musical imagination, particularly the hegemonic flowering of North Italian partimento method across Europe. In contrast, both Bach and Handel represented an autonomy of musical discourse, with Bach exhausting generic models in the mass and Handel inventing a new genre in the oratorio. A potent critique of Lydia Goehr's seminal The Imaginary Museum of Musical Works, The Musical Discourse of Servitude draws on Goehr's formulation of the "work-concept" as an imaginary construct which, according to Goehr, is an invention of nineteenth-century reception history. White locates this concept as a defining agent of automony in Bach's late works, and contextualized the "work-concept" itself by exploring rival concepts of political, religious, and musical authority which define the European musical imagination in the first half of the eighteenth century. A major revisionist statement about the musical imagination in Western art music, The Musical Discourse of Servitude will be of interest to scholars of the Baroque, particularly of Bach and Handel.
