Of Broken Pieces and Light Ahead is a compilation of prose and poetry that speaks to both our individual and shared human experience, of trauma, of healing and ultimately triumph. It is an exquisite yet profound portrayal of the winding and intertwining road that led the author from helplessness to empowerment, from fragmented to whole, and from darkness to light. It takes the reader on a journey through vivid snapshots of war, love, life and death, seen both through the lens of PTSD and from the perspective of someone who has overcome it.

Everyone thinks Colin Fairgood is exactly what his PR machine tells them—a country superstar with a killer smile and dazzling blue eyes. But I met him before his country makeover and fame. Colin has a dark side…one that takes me places I've never been. One that makes me want to do very bad things with him. One that makes me scared of him. And even more scared of myself. But what will happen when he finds out about my past? And discovers the huge secret I’ve been keeping from him? One thing’s for sure: when country superstar Colin Fairgood collides with me, a songwriter with everything to lose, it’s going to be one hell of a story. Reader Beware: The first scorching hot, dark, standalone romance in the Very Bad Fairgoods series is not for the faint of heart or sensitive. It’s guaranteed to please those who prefer extra hot loving with a wickedly kinky hero. But do not One-Click the heat unless you can handle the FLAME!

I am Joe Lyon and this is my book "Poetry is Cool". It took me 34 years to write what is contained within these 140 or so pages. The following are just some of my musings and writings, just a fraction of them really, sketched down since 1979 throughout most of my life. They cover a wide range of topics, but mostly about living life, growing older and wiser, and looking back over the landscapes of my life both real and imaginary...for reasons unknown at the time.

Single Mothers Are For Grown Men Only written by Derrick Jaxn and has been published by Shop Derrick Jaxn LLC this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-09-07 with Self-Help categories.

Our understanding of single mothers is broken. Not like, "The x-ray came back and you may need a cast", broken; but, "It's time to evacuate. The levy has been demolished," broken.Mentally, our streets are flooded with ignorance, yet we simply paddle along as if this is the way things are going to be. All things common sense seem to be immersed under the murky waters of, "She should've known better," "She should've been married first," and "It's her fault he ran out. She's the one who chose him." It's bizarre that in a world where cars can drive themselves and phones can recognize thumb prints, we're still committed to such ignorance, but that's about to change. For the last few years I've posted articles, memes, poems, and even viral videos with tens of millions of views on this subject, but like sandbags to an ocean, they've gotten swallowed whole without us, as a society, moving forward one inch. So, I've decided to take things up a notch with Single Mothers are for Grown Men, ONLY! and drain the preconceived notions, biases, and stereotypes once and for all, particularly as they pertain to dating and relationships. This is not some pity-ridden manual about how single moms should feel sorry for themselves. They have nothing to feel sorry about. In fact, they should be feeling the exact opposite if despite what they have to put up with, they're still able to hold their heads up and put one foot in front of the other. This is 130 pages of facts, analogies, and practical examples of how single mothers have been framed for moral crimes they've never committed, and underappreciated for the should-be obvious positive qualities they possess. It's time for a perspective adjustment. If you agree, then you've found the right book. If you don't, then challenge me to change your mind, and yes, I accept.
