Simply Being Present written by David Armbruster and has been published by R. R. Bowker this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-01-11 with Philosophy categories.

This book is written as an introduction for someone new to meditation. It will also serve the seasoned practitioner who is looking to reinvigorate their practice. This book not only gives instructions on how to meditate, it also includes a special emphasis on how to integrate mindfulness into our daily lives. Guided meditations are provided. This book is a symphonic synthesis of what I have learned over the past 35 years about how to meditate. Some of what I learned came from taking classes, reading, and listening to dharma talks. Other lessons came from attending retreats, sitting in meditation and integrating mindfulness into my day. It was the experience of sitting and integrating that helped the concepts become a part of me. I often say that we do not sit to become good meditators. The real harvest of the fruit of meditation practice is when we can see how our lives are impacted in beneficial ways when we knowingly are present with the reality of the moment and then choose to live our lives skillfully from the point of wisdom, rather than from the stance of habit and past conditioning.

I Am That I Am written by Francis Dale Bennett and has been published by New Harbinger Publications this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-04-08 with Religion categories.

“Do read this book if you are seeking. It keeps it simple, yet utterly profound.”—Scott Kiloby, author of Love’s Quiet Revolution I Am That I Am began as a journal, written at the suggestion of author Francis Bennett’s spiritual director. It was intended to help Francis clarify and explore the shift in perception that had occurred to him—not only for his own sake, but for those who might seek his spiritual guidance in the future. This deceptively simple book brings a unique freshness and humanity to the meeting of Christianity with Eastern investigation of the nature of the self. As Francis says, “Who I am is happiness and bliss ... don’t take my word for any of this. You can experiment with this on your own and discover for yourself whether or not these claims are true. This little book may be able to assist you in conducting just such an experiment in your own life. That is certainly my hope in writing it.”
