English summary: Understanding is a way of dealing with something we do not understand, a concentration on the boundaries of sense. There are three key questions which determine the measurement of the scope of understanding. One of these is the question of the objects and the forms of understanding and the extent to which language forms the basis for sense and understanding, or if extralinguistic expressions (gestures, images, music) make understandable sense. The second question pertains to the forms in which we encounter the other aspect of sense as non-meaningful and foreign, as incomprehensible, senseless and paradoxical. The third question deals with the interdependence of understanding and self-understanding. Humans are not only beings who understand, but also beings who communicate to each other about themselves and who in understanding themselves are confronted with sensory gaps and limitations of understanding. German description: Verstehen ist eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem, was wir nicht verstehen, ein Sich-Abarbeiten an den Grenzen des Sinns.Die Vermessung des Raums des Verstehens orientiert sich an drei Leitfragen. Zum einen fragt sie nach den Gegenstanden und Formen des Verstehens. Sie fragt danach, inwiefern Sprache die Grundlage von Sinn und Verstehen bildet - oder auch aussersprachliche Ausserungen (Gesten, Bilder, Musik) einen verstehbaren Sinn haben. Zum anderen untersucht sie die Formen, in denen uns das Andere des Sinns begegnet: als Nichtsinnhaftes und Fremdes, als Unverstandliches, Sinnloses und Widersinn. Schliesslich geht es um das Wechselverhaltnis zwischen Verstehen und Sichverstehen. Der Mensch ist nicht nur das verstehende, sondern das sich uber sich selbst verstandigende Wesen, das auch im Verstehen seiner selbst mit Lucken des Sinns und Grenzen des Verstehens konfrontiert ist.

"Über die Dichtkunst": In seiner Theorie der Dichtung behandelt Aristoteles insbesondere die Tragödie, deren Funktion aus seiner Sicht darin besteht, Furcht und Mitleid zu erregen, um beim Zuschauer eine Reinigung von diesen Emotionen zu bewirken (katharsis). "Die Physik": Sie befasst sich mit der Erklärung und Erläuterung (Definition) einiger grundlegender Begriffe, die bei der Beschreibung von Naturvorgängen im täglichen Leben gebraucht werden. Die wichtigsten davon sind: Raum, Zeit, Bewegung und Ursache. Es handelt sich nicht um eine mathematische Darlegung der Grundzüge der Natur in heutigem Sinne.

ORTSBESTIMMUNG DER PHILOSOPHISCHEN GRAMMATIK I. Absicht dieser Arbeit ist es, ein wenig Licht in die teils komischen, teils lebensgefahrlichen Aspekte der Aufsplitterung unseres Lebens in h eines vor und in eines nach 17 zu bringen, und zwar anhand des Ent wicklungsgangs der Wittgensteinschen Philosophischen Grammatik. Das aufgezeigte Problem kursiert unter vielen Titeln und Etiketten: Theorie und Praxis, Wissen und Glauben, Beruf und Freizeit o. a. Diese Auf zahlungen mochten allerdings kein Unvermogen des Verfassers andeuten, sich auf einen Titel festzulegen. Vielmehr ist es ein wichtiges Resultat Wittgensteinschen Philosophierens, dass verschiedene Sinne nicht selbiges vermeinen, insofern sie denselben Gegenstand meinen, sondern sofern sich der Sinn als Sinn durchhalt, d. i. als Gebrauch im umlaufist. Insofern der Verfasser mit Wittgenstein die Partikel {raquo}d. h. {laquo}, {raquo}d. i. {laquo}, {raquo}m. a. W. {laquo} und ahnliche flir das Philosophieren flir konstitutiv und eigentlimlich halt, also, mithin die Bestimmung {raquo}Sinn ist Sinn als Sinn{laquo}l zu erfiillen ver sucht (trotz der penetranten Haufung in einer derartigen Exposition), konnen die Untersuchungen zunachst als {raquo}subjektiv{laquo}, bzw. {raquo}transzen dental{laquo} bezeichnet werden. Die nahere Lokalisierung des Themas wird in drei Zligen vorgenommen: das populare Gegensatzpaar {raquo}Ideologie{laquo} und {raquo}Wissenschaft{laquo} fiihrt uns zu den in einer bestimmten philosophischen Tradition fixierten Begriffen {raquo}Lebenswelt{laquo} und {raquo}technische Welt{laquo}, deren Widerstreit wiederum von L. £ley auf das ungeklarte Verhaltnis von Phanomenologie und Logik zurlickgefUhrt worden ist. Nach dieser Orts bestimmung wird hoffentlich einigermassen verstandlich, dass die Kenn zeichnung Wittgensteins als eines Aufldarers nicht nur nicht logische Untersuchungen verbietet, sondern sie vielmehr notwendig macht.
