Também foram tratados novos objetos de pesquisa histórica ainda pouco explorados, como a questão das heranças e sucessões, a implantação do sistema métrico, a letra de câmbio, o orçamento e o ensino do direito e da economia. A obra destina-se a historiadores, juristas e economistas, bem como ao público geral interessado nestes temas.
