The most obscene play ever written. Rochester, a member of the court of Charles II of the England, had a rep as the most outre sexual deviant of his day. The drama gives us Sodom's king, Bolloxinion, his wife Cuntigratia, their children, generals, ministers and servants engaging in an impossibly wide series of activities, (hook being that *traditional* sex was abandoned, by edict...)

Likely written in the 1950s, Sodom is an original play by the Polish-born Jewish-American laureate of the Nobel Prize for Literature. The play, based on the biblical tale of Lot and the destruction of Sodom, treats themes to which Singer returned over throughout his career-corruption and repentance. It also exhibits Singer's ability to move between comedy, political satire, and spiritual sentiment, all within a play that is loyal to its biblical sources. Portraying with such canonical characters as Lot and Abraham, the play shifts from comedic dialogue, to critiques of totalitarianism, to expressions of awe and faith, capturing the fear and trembling of the those who believe they have seen the great powers of the Abrahamic God. The play is both a biblical comedy and a spiritual affirmation of the human need for the Divine. 24 characters, doubling and tripling permitted

The Farce of Sodom is a sexually explicit play which satirizes the reign of Charles II of England during the Restoration of the English monarchy. Explicit and uncompromising in tone, this send-up of the Royal Court grossly exaggerates the rumors surrounding the court of the king. We witness the homosexual King Bolloximian ban ordinary sexual intercourse in his kingdom, decreeing that only anal intercourse be permitted among the entire population. The excesses of the wealthy are shown in a sequence of erotic acts in a court preoccupied with luxuriating in debauchery. Eventually the nature of the acts the wealthy are consigned to perform upsets enough members of the court, and King Bolloximian is violently deposed. He and his closest companions are then consigned to hellfire. Although this play has a politically satirical edge in its portrayals of the English upper class, it is mostly considered by scholars to be an example of early erotic literature. Much English sexual slang is demonstrated, with most of the character's names being a play on these terms. The dialogue commonly lapses to lewd rhyming, and the narration and plot is heavily supported by sexual acts spontaneously performed between characters with the barest of pretexts. Banned for centuries, during recent years The Farce of Sodom has attracted renewed appreciation, with a version of the drama staged at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival.

This character driven three act drama explores Christian dogma and its historical repression of homosexuals. Using the Biblical story of Lot and his family who are forced to flee Sodom as a metaphor, the play is the story of two young women who fall in love with each other during the summer of 1944. Gertie and Susanna are left behind in eastern Kentucky when Gertie's brother, Susanna's new husband, leaves the mountains of Appalachia to serve his country. Set in a region where it is difficult to be gay/lesbian today and was almost impossible sixty years ago, Lot's Daughters dramatizes ideas of sexuality in a historical context.

Botticelli in the Fire imagines the famed painter of The Birth of Venus, Sandro Botticelli, as an irrepressible seeker of love and pleasure caught between the powerful Medici family, the firebrand teachings of a zealot friar, and his young lover, Leonardo da Vinci. Entangled in sexual and political brinkmanship, Botticelli must choose between art and survival. In Sunday in Sodom, Lot's wife Edith tells of the Biblical destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, but set in the present day. American troops obliterate her surroundings with drone strikes and villagers turn against each other, but Edith's still focused on protecting her family, finally giving an answer as to why, when told to run and never look back, she looked back.
