The sogo shosha, Japan's general trading companies, are regarded as a key element in the country's rapid economic growth after World War II and its great success in international trade. In Japanese fiscal year 1975, the ten largest sogo shosha had total sales of $155 billion, accounting for 56 percent of Japan's exports and imports, 18 percent of domestic wholesale trade, and 31 percent of GNP. On the international level, the transactions of these companies in the same year were 5 percent of world export trade. This book—the first comprehensive, English-language work on the sogo shosha—systematically describes and analyzes the basic characteristics, business methods, sales and profit trends, strategies, national roles, global reach, strengths and weaknesses, and future prospects of these global trading conglomerates. In this paper, we first introduce single valued trapezoidal neutrosophic (SVTN) numbers with their properties. We then define some operations and distances of the SVTN-numbers. Based on these new operations, we also define some aggregation operators, including SVTN-ordered weighted geometric operator, SVTN-hybrid geometric operator, SVTN-ordered weighted arithmetic operator and SVTN-hybrid arithmetic operator. We then examine the properties of these SVTN-information aggregation operators. By using the SVTN-weighted geometric operator and SVTN-hybrid geometric operator, we also define a multi attribute group decision making method, called SVTN-group decision making method. We finally give an illustrative example and comparative analysis to verify the developed method and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

The Military Assistance Command, Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG) was a highly classified, multi-service United States Special Forces unit which conducted covert unconventional warfare operations prior to and during the Vietnam War. The unit conducted strategic reconnaissance missions in South Vietnam, North Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia; carried out the capture of enemy prisoners, rescued downed pilots, and conducted rescue operations to retrieve allied prisoners of war throughout Southeast Asia; and conducted clandestine agent team activities and psychological operations. This book tells the story of the Teams operating out of FOB2 Kontum, near the tri-border area, in 1968–69. From recon missions over the fence to the heroic, and sometimes fatal efforts undertaken to try and rescue missing SOG members, the events are told through the words of the men themselves, supported by previously unreleased official documents.
