The unique passion found in The Joy Bringer Challenge presents the WHAT, the WHY and the HOW behind the joy found in Jesus. What if life was marked by joy? That's the power of the Gospel; it offers good news that changes lives. But in order to receive the Gospel, a person must believe that joy is available and ready for them, in the same way Jesus is available and desires to connect. It was declared at the birth of Jesus that he would bring great joy to all people. The good news of the Gospel isn’t just about eternity in heaven—it’s power, freedom, love, and joy for anyone, at any time. The Joy Bringer Challenge is a journey of understanding the full gift of salvation, healing from the wounds that keep individuals in bondage, and welcoming the filling of the Holy Spirit, in order to live and lead others with true joy. The Joy Bringer Challenge is not just for those who have had great trauma but anyone looking for more joy and purpose in their lives. It intentionally lays out a road map of discovery and healing for the reader to know where they are going and what lies ahead with the goal to live like the gospel is good news.

I was going through some bizarre experiences and experiencing sustained witchcraft attacks for about forty-two years. I was not prepared for these bizarre encounters and so didnt understand what was happening. I only felt the pain, hurt, and social ostracism associated with the attacks. God took over my battles; He taught me how to pray in warfare, sustained me in the trial, took over my battles, and uplifted me in sustained victories. The world must hear my story and know that God is alive, the same yesterday, today, and forever, so that someone else somewhere, going through similar unexplained problems would find succor and solutions to their problems. Through these experiences, I explored the linkages of such attacks to the better understanding, management, and treatment of mental health and behavioral problems of today, and the respective roles for churches, parents and individuals.

In times of upheaval, many of us seek guidance from a spiritual mentor, someone who has confronted challenges and become a stronger person as a result. Here Rabbi Niles Elliot Goldstein draws from his own hard-won insights and personal experiences as a congregational rabbi, martial artist, FBI chaplain, and limit-pusher and interweaves them with the teachings of sages, biblical figures, and thinkers of all stripes to help us get beyond our own perceived limitations and face life’s challenges with fearlessness and fortitude. Goldstein identifies eight essential qualities that he believes we must cultivate to live a life of self-empowerment and then uses a programmatic approach to explore these qualities and the ways we can develop them in ourselves. Rabbi Goldstein is known for challenging himself physically, mentally, and spiritually. He counseled law enforcement officers at Ground Zero, has traveled to numerous remote and inhospitable places to learn and teach, and has sought out difficult experiences to rigorously test himself and the meaning of his faith.

Song King written by Levi S. Gibbs and has been published by University of Hawaii Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-05-31 with Music categories.

When itinerant singers from China’s countryside become iconic artists, worlds collide. The lives and performances of these representative singers become sites for conversations between the rural and urban, local and national, folk and elite, and traditional and modern. In Song King: Connecting People, Places, and Past in Contemporary China, Levi S. Gibbs examines the life and performances of “Folksong King of Western China” Wang Xiangrong (b. 1952) and explores how itinerant performers come to serve as representative symbols straddling different groups, connecting diverse audiences, and shifting between amorphous, place-based local, regional, and national identities. Moving from place to place, these border walkers embody connections between a range of localities, presenting audiences with traditional, modern, rural, and urban identities among which to continually reposition themselves in an evolving world. Born in a small mountain village near the intersection of the Great Wall and the Yellow River in a border region with a rich history of migration, Wang Xiangrong was exposed to a wide range of songs as a child. The songs of Wang’s youth prepared him to create a repertoire of region-representing pieces and mediate between regions, nations, and multinational corporations in national and international performances. During the course of a career that included meeting Deng Xiaoping in 1980 and running with the Olympic torch in 2008, Wang’s life, songs, and performances have come to highlight various facets of social identity in contemporary China. Drawing on extensive fieldwork with Wang and other professional folksingers from northern Shaanxi province at weddings, Chinese New Year galas, business openings, and Christmas concerts, Song King argues that songs act as public conversations people can join in on. As song kings and queens fuse personal and collective narratives in performances of iconic songs, they provide audiences with compelling models for socializing personal experience, negotiating a sense of self and group in an ever-changing world.
