Buku ini berisi mengenai dialektika antara penafsir dengan dunia sosio-kulturalnya sehingga menghasilkan sebuah produk tafsir. Perbedaan dialektika ini dengan kajian lainnya terletak pada pendekatan sosiologi yang digunakannya. Selama ini kajian sosiologi dianggap riskan menyentuh persoalan tafsir yang dianggap sakral. Ini karena telah diketahui secara umum bahwa kajian sosiologi berasal dari keilmuan empiris, sedangkan tafsir lebih mendekatkan pada keilmuan yang condong pada keilmuan normatif. Membuktikan bahwa keduanya dapat dikombinasikan, penulis buku ini menggunakan teori sosiologi pengetahuan yang digagas oleh Peter L. Berger dan Thomas Luckman sebagai pisau analisanya. Adapun objek yang dikaji adalah penafsiran mengenai kritik fenomena bid’ah dalam sebuah tafsir yang ditulis pada awal abad 20. Telah diketahui bahwa pada abad itu fenomena bid’ah tidak hanya memicu saling bermusuhannya antara sesama Muslim, akan tetapi berdampak pada pertumpahan darah juga. Tafsir tersebut adalah tafsir Tamshiyyah al-Muslimīn karya KH. Ahmad Sanusi, seorang Kyai yang lahir dari rahim pesantren di wilayah Priangan.

This book sets out how contemporary Iranian scholars have approached the Qurʾān during recent decades. It particularly aims to explore the contributions of scholars that have emerged in the post 1979-revolution era, outlining their primary interpretive methods and foundational theories regarding the reading of the Qurʾān. Examining issues such as the status of women, democracy, freedom of religion and human rights, this book analyses the theoretical contributions of several Iranian scholars, some of which are new to the English-speaking academy. The hermeneutical approaches of figures such Abdolkarim Soroush, Muhammad Mojtahed Shabestari, Mohsen Kadivar, Hasan Yousefi-Eshkevari, Abolqasem Fanaie and Mostafa Malekian are presented and then analysed to demonstrate how a contextualist approach to the Qu’ran has been formed in response to the influence of Western Orientalism. The effect of this approach to the Qu’ran is then shown to have wide-ranging effects on Iranian society. This study reveals Qu’ranic thought that has been largely overlooked by the West. It will, therefore. Be of great use to academics in Religious, Islamic and Qurʾānic studies as well as those studying the culture of Iran and the Middle East more generally.

ISalah satu di antara kekuatan Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) di dalam mengelola pendidikan tinggi Islam adalah pemberian keleluasaan bagi Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) untuk mengembangkan pembedaan bagi pengembangan program pendidikan. Meskipun labelling terhadap integrasi ilmu di PTKIN bervariasi, akan tetapi sesungguhnya basis ontologis, epistemologis, dan aksiologisnya tetaplah sama. Jadi secara substansial memiliki kesamaan yaitu upaya untuk mengembangkan ilmu keislaman yang terintegrasi dengan sains dan teknologi serta ilmu sosial dan humaniora. Pola integrasi yang dikembangkan adalah pengembangan integrasi ilmu berbasis interdisipliner, crossdisipliner, multidisipliner, dan transdisipliner. Buku ini hadir dengan kesederhanaannya. Tidak sebagaimana buku teks yang rumit dengan referensi yang canggih dan mutakhir, akan tetapi buku ini merupakan refleksi atas program integrasi ilmu dan perkembangannya di perguruan tinggi, khususnya di PTKI, yang ditulis melalui berbagai pemahaman dan pengalaman atas fenomena integrasi ilmu. Buku ini hadir dari karya-karya penulis yang telah dikelola sejak tahun 2000-an hingga sekarang. Bagi pembaca yang terbiasa membaca karya akademik dengan catatan yang rumit, referensi yang rumit dan bahasa yang canggih, maka buku ini bukanlah buku dengan tampilan seperti itu. Sekali lagi buku ini hadir dengan kesederhanaannya. Penulis berharap bahwa dengan hadirnya buku ini, akan menjadi salah satu bukti bahwa PTKI sudah melakukan hal yang terbaik di dalam pengembangan program integrasi ilmu sebagaimana mandat yang dibebankan kepada PTKI di Indonesia. Religion, although in its simplest form a belief or belief in an external force outside of man, is believed to have existed since the existence of man himself. There is a connection in the existence of religion on the one hand with the existence of human culture and civilization on the other. That is, since the beginning of religion or belief included in human life and—the rules—human life already existed in religion. It is very difficult to talk about the relationship between religion and violence. It is difficult in the sense of finding common ground agreed upon by some parties who disagree on this. Phenomenological studies that have been very hard show the relationship between the two is not spared from the reduction process that is criticized by many parties. Instead of seeing that violence is linked to many socio-economic-cultural contexts, phenomenological studies immediately ultimately see religion—its meaning, articulation and implementation—as the main factors that trigger violence. The Scapegoat Theory is one of them. René Girard goes so far as to say that not only does violence seem real and violent because of religion, but even rituals in religion do not escape violence, in this case it is a rite of sacrifice. Therefore, it is not surprising that then what happens to modern society due to the looseness of religious values that are in fact made to reduce and channel this violent desire. His excesses then because violence is not channeled through the realm of neutralization, he then appears in the social realm in the form of acts of violence that are no longer sacred, even considered evil. This book will explore Girard's interpretation of the sacrificial rite, as well as outline how Islam views Qurbani worship. With this we hope that there will be a balance of information about the worship of Sacrifice itself.
