Spirits, Souls, and Dreams: Poetic Impressions, is a collection of unique perceptions of the author derived from spirits, souls and dreams. The human experience entails living between spiritual heaven and hell, an amalgamation of both spiritual and human origin. Life demands integrating subjective spiritual information from divergent sources along with human emotions, thoughts and dreams, and interpreting this information by means of spiritually impaired objective reasoning. Given these inherent convolutions, we are fallible in judgment and even in our own memories. It is imperative to employ the utmost judiciousness to interpersonal inferences, assumptions, and deductions and with biblical assurance, accept that our cognitive processes are abjectly compromised. It is absolutely essential to accept others without concession. Spirits, Souls, and Dreams is a collection of poetry that reminds us that acceptance is requisite for forgiveness. Forgiveness is indispensable for true love. God is love. Love is God. Only Can I Live To See Only Can I Live To See When The Moon Turns Red I Can Not Imagine Dreaming In My Bed I Want To Fly Above The Sea On A Brand New Morning And Make Clouds My Covering For No Reason Its Part Of Me.

This is an original story about creating a shared dream by connecting two dreams from two persons who love each other but face impassable barriers. On a day in the spring of 36 BC, three strangers have three interwoven dreams at the same time. They are Emperor Yuan of Han Dynasty, China, a beautiful country girl, Wang Qiang, who is going to be chosen as one of Emperor Yuan's future concubines, and a dream hunter, Ashik, in Western Asia. Emperor Yuan dreams of Wang, Wang dreams of Emperor Yuan while Ashik dreams of Emperor Yuan and Wang dreaming of each other. Ashik is once a priest of a dream temple where he meets a one-time visitor, Ruya, who is forced to be the 4th queen of their Khan. Ashik can't help falling in love with her. He has no other way to approach her but to enter into her dreams. Dream hunters can access the others' dreams imperceptibly, find whatever they are looking for but they are not able to communicate with the dreamers. Ashik has been enjoying staying in Ruya's dreams until he dreams of the interwoven dreams when he is in Ruya's dream. The dreams within dreams strike him like a lightning, making him realize that, since people can dream of each other the same time, why not connect their dreams into one, so they can see and talk to each other? In her dreams, Ashik see how lonely Ruya has been all the time but there is no way he could inform her that he loves her. Now, since he is positioned in the center of the dream whirlpool, it must be a reward from the Almighty, pointing to him a way of creating shared dreams. Ashik can tell results by looking at the causes before things actually happen. He knows that the emperor and the girl are not able to live together but they will dream of each other again in the future. If he could catch that moment and find a way to put their dreams together, he would be able to connect his dream with Ruya's once she dreams of him. That will give him the opportunity to talk to her. For this opportunity, Ashik starts a long journey of searching for the emperor who lives somewhere in the far, far east where the sun rises every morning. At the end of this journey, Ashik witnesses not only the celestial souls in dreams but also bloody royal massacre, murder and suicide. Ever since human beings came into existence, the door to dream has been open. It could be thousands of miles away or you could step into it at the very next second. We would never know how many loves have happened only in dreams but, luckily, here is one of them.

Dreaming Souls written by Owen Flanagan and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001-05-17 with Philosophy categories.

What, if anything, do dreams tell us about ourselves? What is the relationship between types of sleep and types of dreams? Does dreaming serve any purpose? Or are dreams simply meaningless mental noise--"unmusical fingers wandering over the piano keys"? With expertise in philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience, Owen Flanagan is uniquely qualified to answer these questions. And in Dreaming Souls he provides both an accessible survey of the latest research on sleep and dreams and a compelling new theory about the nature and function of dreaming. Flanagan argues that while sleep has a clear biological function and adaptive value, dreams are merely side effects, "free riders," irrelevant from an evolutionary point of view. But dreams are hardly unimportant. Indeed, Flanagan argues that dreams are self-expressive, the result of our need to find or to create meaning, even when we're sleeping. Rejecting Freud's theory of manifest and latent content--of repressed wishes appearing in disguised form--Flanagan shows how brainstem activity during sleep generates a jumbled profusion of memories, images, thoughts, emotions, and desires, which the cerebral cortex then attempts to shape into a more or less coherent story. Such dream-narratives range from the relatively mundane worries of non REM sleep to the fantastic confabulations of deep REM that resemble psychotic episodes in their strangeness. But however bizarre these narratives may be, they can shed light on our mental life, our well being, and our sense of self. Written with clarity, lively wit, and remarkable insight, Dreaming Souls offers a fascinating new way of apprehending one of the oldest mysteries of mental life.
