Evangelische Fachhochschule Reutlingen-Ludwigsburg; Standort Ludwigsburg), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Da ich auch in meinem Berufsfeld auch mit Spiritualität in Berührung komme (in Form von Phantasiereisen, Meditation, Mandalas oder Glaubensfragen während meiner beiden praktischen Studiensemester) und diese Thematik während meines Studiums nur wenig behandelt wurde entstand die Idee zu dieser Diplomarbeit. Ich möchte in dieser Arbeit versuchen zu erforschen, was Spiritualität überhaupt ist, ob sie in direktem Bezug zur Sozialen Arbeit steht und schließlich ob sie überhaupt ihren Platz in dieser Semiprofession haben darf. Gerade im Bereich der Lebenshilfe nehmen unzählige irrationale, alternative und transzendentale Trends eines rapide wachsenden Marktes so evident Einfluss auf den Menschen - das implizit auch die Soziale Arbeit betroffen ist. Sie dient für jegliche Lebensproblemlagen als gesellschaftlicher „Katalysator“ und muss sich besonders auch auf den Wandel innerhalb einer Gesellschaft einstellen um professionell intervenieren zu können. Gerade bei der Arbeit mit psychisch kranken Jugendlichen wurde ich des Öfteren mit Glaubensfragen der Klientel konfrontiert. Damals war ich dankbar, auf mein selbst angeeignetes Wissen und eigene Erfahrungen in diesem Bereich zurückgreifen zu können. Nicht zuletzt habe ich es einer speziellen Erfahrung während meines Studiums selbst zu verdanken, meinen persönlichen Glauben gefestigt haben zu können. Diese Intention und die Tatsache, dass unzählige spirituell interessierte Menschen in sozialen Berufen tätig sind und sie somit ihren Einfluss direkt im Feld der Sozialen Arbeit wirken lassen, waren für mich außerdem Ansporn zu dieser Diplomarbeit. Leider konnte ich trotz der wahrnehmbaren gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen während meiner Literatursuche nur relativ wenige Quellen ausfindig machen, die einen direkten Bezug zwischen Sozialer Arbeit und Spiritualität darstellen. Diesen Aspekt sah ich als Herausforderung an, da ich mich nicht auf „Altbewährtes“ berufen konnte. Mein Hauptanliegen ist also, den schwammigen Begriff der Spiritualität in einen verständlichen Rahmen einzufügen und schließlich die Chancen und Grenzen einer spirituell-inspirierten Sozialen Arbeit aufzeigen. Es soll geklärt werden, ob der Einfluss von Spiritualität in die Soziale Arbeit überhaupt sinnvoll ist und wo sie evtl. ihren Platz in dieser Profession festlegen sollte. Beginnen möchte ich unter Punkt 3 mit dem Versuch einer Definition und Begriffsbestimmung sowie dem aktuellen Stand in der Sozialen Arbeit. [...]

Zu Beginn der Arbeit findet eine Eingrenzung des Spiritualitätsbegriffes statt, wofür ein Definitionsrahmen mit den wichtigsten Aspekten von Spiritualität entwickelt und noch um einige Aspekte fern¬östlicher Religionsphilosophie ergänzt wird. Im Anschluss folgt eine Darstellung des religiösen und spirituellen Wandels in der postmodernen Gesellschaft, wobei der Fokus auf den deutschsprachigen Kulturkreis gelegt wird. Aufgrund dessen, dass die Disziplin entgegen diesem soziologisch beobachtbaren Wandel spirituelle Themen nicht oder nur wenig beachtet und auch in der Profession Uneinigkeit über dieses Thema herrscht, wird auf die Dringlichkeit einer theoretischen Fundierung von Spiritualität im professionellen Handeln hingewiesen. Als Theoriebezug werden die soziologische Systemtheorie nach Luhmann, der spirituelle Systemansatz nach Capra und der Konstruktivismus herangezogen und den Aspekten von Spiritualität aus dem Definitionsrahmen gegenübergestellt. Anschließend werden Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten für verschiedene Methoden und Handlungsfelder der Sozialen Arbeit aufgezeigt, die sich aus den Gemeinsamkeiten ergeben und die im Kontext von Spiritualität kreatives und innovatives Potenzial einbringen und eine wichtige Ressource für die Soziale Arbeit darstellen können. Im letzten Teil der Diplomarbeit werden die Grenzen und Risiken der Integration von Spiritualität in der Sozialen Arbeit thematisiert.
