Stimulated, Volume 1 includes 2 hot, sexy, erotic ménage romances! First meet two sexy Australian arson investigators as they light the fires of passion, then enjoy a fast paced thrill ride about a handsome pro racer, a sexy mechanic, and a spirited motocross racer as they rev up the heat! Blowing It Off, by International Award-winning erotic romance author Lexxie Couper A suspicious fire has destroyed the studio of glassblower Phoebe Masters. And she knows what that means - a visit from the region's best arson investigators. The two men who reduced her heart to cinders. Men she'd hoped never to see again. One wild weekend with Phoebe overwhelmed Will Bradley and Damon Hunt. Like morons, they blew if off, burning any chance for a triad romance with the talented beauty. The investigation gets them back in her life, but now they have to prove the three of them were meant to be together. Their strategy? A body-blazing inferno none of them will ever be able to extinguish. But will the small town of Morpeth survive their desire? And more to the point, will Phoebe? Revving It Up, by International Award-winning erotic romance author Lexxie Couper "Lady and Gentlemen...start your engines!" Tell Sami Charlton men are better than women at motocross racing and you're bound to lose a testicle. She's not the National Champion because she's a pretty face with a hot bod. In fact, Sami is the best rider Australia has ever seen. She's also feisty, rebellious, prone to sarcasm, and never looks before she leaps. Like, ever. Jay Rutledge, Team Charlton's Head Mechanic, has kept his desire for Sami a secret since he joined her team. It's not always easy, but thankfully Sami is more interested in riding bikes than men. He spends his days making sure the vibrations between her legs are from a perfectly tuned engine and keeps the desire thrumming through his own body in neutral. Just. Until International Motocross champion, Eli Swanson makes his move. Eli always gets what he wants, and he wants Sami. In every way. The trouble is, Eli declared in an interview women aren't as good as men at motocross and now all she wants from him is his balls. But when Sami bets anything she can beat him on live television, Eli knows the god of arrogant motocross champions is smiling on him. He takes Sami up on her bet...and doesn't plan to lose. He hadn't however, planned on dealing with Jay, a man he used to--once upon a time--share everything with. Sami thought the only real pleasure in her life came from racing. She was wrong. *Not intended for readers under the age of 18. *Previously published: (2014) 5x5 Publishing Books in the Stimulated series: 1. Blowing It Off 2. Revving It Up 3. Switching It On 4. Perceiving In Depth Volume 1 Basic Mechanisms written by Ian P. Howard and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-01-27 with Psychology categories.

The three-volume work Perceiving in Depth is a sequel to Binocular Vision and Stereopsis and to Seeing in Depth, both by Ian P. Howard and Brian J. Rogers. This work is much broader in scope than the previous books and includes mechanisms of depth perception by all senses, including aural, electrosensory organs, and the somatosensory system. Volume 1 reviews sensory coding, psychophysical and analytic procedures, and basic visual mechanisms. Volume 2 reviews stereoscopic vision. Volume 3 reviews all mechanisms of depth perception other than stereoscopic vision. The three volumes are extensively illustrated and referenced and provide the most detailed review of all aspects of perceiving the three-dimensional world. Volume 1 starts with a review of the history of visual science from the ancient Greeks to the early 20th century with special attention devoted to the discovery of the principles of perspective and stereoscopic vision. The first chapter also contains an account of early visual display systems, such as panoramas and peepshows, and the development of stereoscopes and stereophotography. A chapter on the psychophysical and analytic procedures used in investigations of depth perception is followed by a chapter on sensory coding and the geometry of visual space. An account of the structure and physiology of the primate visual system proceeds from the eye through the LGN to the visual cortex and higher visual centers. This is followed by a review of the evolution of visual systems and of the development of the mammalian visual system in the embryonic and post-natal periods, with an emphasis on experience-dependent neural plasticity. An account of the development of perceptual functions, especially depth perception, is followed by a review of the effects of early visual deprivation during the critical period of neural plasticity on amblyopia and other defects in depth perception. Volume 1 ends with accounts of the accommodation mechanism of the human eye and vergence eye movements.

Brain stimulation technologies are both tools to probe brain function and to provide therapeutic options for patients with neuropsychiatric disease where pharmacological options are not viable. Although the field has been in existence for over seventy years, research interest in brain stimulation has been on the rise particularly in the last two decades. Brain Stimulation: Methodologies and Interventions is an introduction to the field of brain stimulation technology and its applications. The book explores how brainstimulating technologies work in the context of brain pathways that mediate normal and abnormal brain function. Chapters cover neuroanatomy and activity dependent changes in neuronal function triggered by brain stimulation, as well as applications of brain stimulation technologies themselves, including noninvasive procedures that rely on convulsive or seizure therapeutics, and non-convulsive therapies such as magnetic and electrical brain stimulation. Authored by an international group of leaders in the field, Brain Stimulation is a valuable resource for both neuroscience researchers and clinicians.

Perspectives Of Nonlinear Dynamics Volume 1 written by E. Atlee Jackson and has been published by CUP Archive this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1989 with Mathematics categories.

The dynamics of physical, chemical, biological, or fluid systems generally must be described by nonlinear models, whose detailed mathematical solutions are not obtainable. To understand some aspects of such dynamics, various complementary methods and viewpoints are of crucial importance. In this book the perspectives generated by analytical, topological and computational methods, and interplays between them, are developed in a variety of contexts. This book is a comprehensive introduction to this field, suited to a broad readership, and reflecting a wide range of applications. Some of the concepts considered are: topological equivalence; embeddings; dimensions and fractals; Poincaré maps and map-dynamics; empirical computational sciences vis-á-vis mathematics; Ulam's synergetics; Turing's instability and dissipative structures; chaos; dynamic entropies; Lorenz and Rossler models; predator-prey and replicator models; FPU and KAM phenomena; solitons and nonsolitons; coupled maps and pattern dynamics; cellular automata.
