Stochastic And Chaotic Oscillations written by Juri I. Neimark and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Mathematics categories.

This volume is devoted to stochastic and chaotic oscillations in dissipative systems. Chapter 1 deals with mathematical models of deterministic, discrete and distributed dynamical systems. In Chapter 2, the two basic trends of order and chaos are considered. The next three chapters describe stochasticity transformers, amplifiers and generators, turbulence, and phase portraits of steady-state motions and their bifurcations. Chapter 6 treats the topics of stochastic and chaotic attractors, and this is followed by two chapters dealing with routes to chaos and the quantitative characteristics of stochastic and chaotic motions. Finally, Chapter 9, which comprises more than one-third of the book, presents examples of systems having chaotic and stochastic motions drawn from mechanical, physical, chemical and biological systems. The book concludes with a comprehensive bibliography. For mathematicians, physicists, chemists and biologists interested in stochastic and chaotic oscillations in dynamical systems.

In this book the modern theory of both regular and chaotic nonlinear oscillations is set out, primarily, as applied to mechanical problems. The material is presented in a nontraditional manner with emphasis on the new results of the theory obtained partially by the author, who is one of the leading experts in the area. Among the up-to-date topics are synchronization and chaotization of self-oscillatory systems and the influence of weak random vibrations on the modification of characteristics and behavior of nonlinear systems. One of the purposes of the book is to enable readers to gain a thorough understanding of this theory and to show that it can be very useful in engineering investigations. The primary audience for this book is researchers working with different oscillatory processes and students interested in a thorough study of the general laws and applications of the theory of nonlinear oscillations.

As in the first edition, the influence of random noise on the chaotic behavior of dissipative dynamical systems is investigated. Problems are illustrated by mechanical examples. This revised and updated edition contains new sections on the summary of probability theory, homoclinic chaos, Melnikov method, routes to chaos, stabilization of period-doubling, and Hopf bifurcation by noise. Some chapters have been rewritten and new examples have been added.

Nonlinear Oscillations And Waves In Dynamical Systems written by Polina Solomonovna Landa and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1996-02-29 with Mathematics categories.

This volume is an up-to-date treatment of the theory of nonlinear oscillations and waves. Oscillatory and wave processes in the systems of diversified physical natures, both periodic and chaotic, are considered from a unified point of view. Also, the relation between the theory of oscillations and waves, nonlinear dynamics and synergetics is discussed. One of the purposes of this book is to convince readers of the necessity of a thorough study of the theory of oscillations and waves, and to show that such popular branches of science as nonlinear dynamics, and synergetic soliton theory, for example, are in fact constituent parts of this theory. Audience: This book will appeal to researchers whose work involves oscillatory and wave processes, and students and postgraduates interested in the general laws and applications of the theory of oscillations and waves.

Nonlinear And Parametric Phenomena written by Vladimir Damgov and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004 with Science categories.

The book comprises a broad panorama of phenomena occurring in four major classes of radiophysical and mechanical systems linear, nonlinear, parametric, and nonlinear-parametric. An analytical technique for the broad circle of issues under consideration is developed. It is presented in a user-friendly form, allowing its further direct application in research practices. Analytical methods are presented for investigating modulation-parametric and nonlinear systems, oscillating systems with periodic and almost periodic time-dependent parameters, effects of adaptive self-organization in coupled resonance systems and oscillating systems under the action of external forces, nonlinear with respect to the coordinates of excited systems. Of an interdisciplinary nature, this volume can serve as a handbook for developing lecture courses such as Fundamentals of Nonlinear Dynamics and Theory of Nonlinear Oscillations, Theory of Nonlinear Circuits and Systems, Fundamentals of Radiophysics and Electronics, Theory of Signals and Theoretical Radiophysics, Theoretical Mechanics and Electrodynamics.

Leonid Isaakovich Mandelstam written by Alexander Pechenkin and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-10-05 with Science categories.

This biography of the famous Soviet physicist Leonid Isaakovich Mandelstam (1889-1944), who became a Professor at Moscow State University in 1925, describes his contributions to both physics and technology, as well as discussing the scientific community which formed around him, usually called the Mandelstam school. Mandelstam’s life story is thereby placed in its proper cultural context. The following more general issues are taken under consideration: the impact of German scientific culture on Russian science; the problems and fates of Russian intellectuals during the revolutionary and post-revolutionary years; the formation of the Soviet Academy of Sciences; and transformation of the system of higher education in the USSR during the 1920's and 1930's.The author shows that Mandelstam’s fundamental writings and his lectures notes allow to reconstruct his philosophy of science and his approach to the social and ethical functions of science and science education. That reconstruction is enhanced through extensive use of hitherto unpublished archival material as well as the transcripts of personal interviews conducted by the author.
