Stochastic Models Information Theory And Lie Groups Volume 1 written by Gregory S. Chirikjian and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-09-02 with Mathematics categories.
This unique two-volume set presents the subjects of stochastic processes, information theory, and Lie groups in a unified setting, thereby building bridges between fields that are rarely studied by the same people. Unlike the many excellent formal treatments available for each of these subjects individually, the emphasis in both of these volumes is on the use of stochastic, geometric, and group-theoretic concepts in the modeling of physical phenomena. Stochastic Models, Information Theory, and Lie Groups will be of interest to advanced undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and practitioners working in applied mathematics, the physical sciences, and engineering. Extensive exercises and motivating examples make the work suitable as a textbook for use in courses that emphasize applied stochastic processes or differential geometry.

L Vy Processes In Lie Groups written by Ming Liao and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-05-10 with Mathematics categories.
The theory of Lévy processes in Lie groups is not merely an extension of the theory of Lévy processes in Euclidean spaces. Because of the unique structures possessed by non-commutative Lie groups, these processes exhibit certain interesting limiting properties which are not present for their counterparts in Euclidean spaces. These properties reveal a deep connection between the behaviour of the stochastic processes and the underlying algebraic and geometric structures of the Lie groups themselves. The purpose of this work is to provide an introduction to Lévy processes in general Lie groups, the limiting properties of Lévy processes in semi-simple Lie groups of non-compact type and the dynamical behavior of such processes as stochastic flows on certain homogeneous spaces. The reader is assumed to be familiar with Lie groups and stochastic analysis, but no prior knowledge of semi-simple Lie groups is required.

Stochastic Benchmarking written by Alireza Amirteimoori and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-11 with Business & Economics categories.
This book introduces readers to benchmarking techniques in the stochastic environment, primarily stochastic data envelopment analysis (DEA), and provides stochastic models in DEA for the possibility of variations in inputs and outputs. It focuses on the application of theories and interpretations of the mathematical programs, which are combined with economic and organizational thinking. The book’s main purpose is to shed light on the advantages of the different methods in deterministic and stochastic environments and thoroughly prepare readers to properly use these methods in various cases. Simple examples, along with graphical illustrations and real-world applications in industry, are provided for a better understanding. The models introduced here can be easily used in both theoretical and real-world evaluations. This book is intended for graduate and PhD students, advanced consultants, and practitioners with an interest in quantitative performance evaluation.
