I first read the book “Stranger Than Science” By Frank Edwards when I was about 10 years old and it was an important turning point in my life. The book has many stories of strange events and it really built my curiosity about the world. Later I went to Engineering School and also had many paranormal experiences from learning meditation and other practices. I have now researched and written over 100 books on strange and mysterious phenomena. My fascination with strange things has become a major passion in my life. This book is kind of an updated version of that famous Frank Edwards book based on my experiences and research of many phenomena. I’m sure you will find the stories in this book fascinating since they are all samples of much of what I experienced, researched, and have written about. It contains over 32 chapters of my favorite stories on various topics to provide a question mark for your beliefs and assumptions about the world and universe we live in. When you finish this volume maybe you will see my point of view which is that as much as we think we know about this world and the universe, there are still many mysteries and strange things out there.

As an engineer and student of science I try to keep up with publications of the latest discoveries and paradigm shifts in science around the world. I believe that there are several big problems with science today. First is that much science is biased which might be because some scientists want to keep their point of view prominent and the others because many focuses of science are supported by biased funding. This will be discussed in this book. The other issue is that many scientists limit their thinking to only support age old paradigms and refuse to accept changes to their theories or throw out evidence because it doesn’t conform their current beliefs. In this book we will cover many issues such as the belief among many cosmologists that the Big Bang never happened. We will also look at ideas we thought settled but which have lots of contrary evidence and anecdotal counter stories such as time travel and dimensional crossings. After you read this book you may question much of what is commonly accepted by scientists in the world today.

In our modern society there are lots of pressures to succeed. Whatever that means. Most of us absorb the idea that we need to succeed in life and thus they have the corollary fear of failure. One of my favorite movies is “The Razor’s Edge” with Tyrone Powell. It is the story of a young man in the 1920s who has the opportunity to make it big in conventional jobs but he isn’t interested. Instead he follows an alternative path which leads him to India where he seeks enlightenment. His friends who followed the conventional career path experienced terrible lives when most of them were wiped out in the great depression. Even one who made it big financially was mainly interested in earthly status which doesn’t’ make a difference in the long run. My point is that we need to be thoughtful about how we envision the future of our lives so we live life with meaning and don’t have unrealistic expectations. Thinking about life this way is the first way to avoid having a fear of failure. In this book we review the reasons people have fears of failure, persons who changed failure into success, and how to modify our lives to change our fears of failure into a path for success and happiness.
