Strategies for the Sustainable Transformation of Developing Countries attempts a holistic-solution approach through sustainable development concepts and principles to address challenges in developing countries. In fact, the book is the application of sustainable development, and thus it offers strategies that could be applied to the development and transformation of social, economical, and environmental dimensions of society using the example of Nigeria, a developing country in West Africa. The book is divided into five parts, coveringcritical subjects of development which include education, government and good governance, community security, leadership, and community development. It provides answers to how sustainable development can bring change and benefits to these subject matters within the context of developing countries, using Nigeria as an example. This book is very different from many other book written on the challenges of development, particularly on African countries, in the sense that it gives priority to solutions and mapping them out in a feasible, sustainable, and practical way. The cornerstone of the book is the emphatic suggestion of a national transition initiative programme and Sustainable Community development Programme to drive sustainable development from the top and the bottom of society respectively.

Sustainable Development Strategies written by Barry Dalal-Clayton and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-09-10 with Political Science categories.
This book is a cornerstone resource for a wide range of organizations and individuals concerned with sustainable development at national or local levels, as well as for international organizations concerned with supporting such development. Whilst the focus is on integrated strategies for sustainable development, the approaches and methods covered are equally relevant to poverty reduction, environmental and sectoral strategies, programme development and review. Agenda 21 called for all countries to develop sustainable development strategies. For such strategies to be effective there needs to be a real commitment. In every country, government at all levels, the private sector, and civil society, must work together in a true partnership, in transparent ways which enable genuine stakeholder participation. The necessary mechanisms and processes need to be coordinated to enable continuous learning and improvement. This resource book provides flexible, non-prescriptive guidance on how to develop, assess and implement national sustainable development strategies. It sets out principles and ideas on process and methods, and suggests how these can be used. It is based on an analysis of past and current practice, drawing directly from experience in both developed and developing countries. Following a discussion of the nature and challenges of sustainable development and the need for strategic responses to them, the heart of the book covers the main tasks in strategy processes. Individual chapters offer a rich range of guidance, ideas and case studies.

With great pleasure I present, Green Strategies: Transforming Innovative Concepts into Sustainability aims to represent new ideas about the hot topic “sustainability”. As more and more people choose to live on Earth, sustainability is a goal. This term’s definitions are debatable and have changed over time, across literature, and in different contexts. The three pillars of sustainability are typically social, economic, and environmental. This book aims to improve the sustainable world by offering fresh viewpoints based on a green attitude to serve as a useful manual for researchers. First chapter it was tried to present the studies carried out by mentioning the importance of green and sustainable products in this context by mentioning the electric vehicles and charging stations used in the world and in Türkiye, which are included in the Sustainable and Intelligent Transportation Strategy announced within the scope of the European Green Deal. It is believed that the study, which is believed to be a guide for researchers, will fill the gap in this field. According to the second chapter, the studies conducted in Türkiye, it has been found that farmers use credit without considering the economics of credit use and financial principles, while credit institutions prioritize collateral and maturity practices that will guarantee the credit they provide. In the findings, it is observed that public and private banks do not have a sustainable agricultural credit policy, and the cyclical fluctuations of the economy are effective in this regard. According to third one, to achieve sustainable production and management of resources, it is imperative to develop new, safe, low-cost, eco-efficient and knowledge-based products. These products must support competitiveness and sustainability, while concurrently contributing to the economy through biotechnology. This approach aims to enhance health, increase agricultural and forestry yield and quality, and achieve sustainable improvements in environmental issues. In this context, the objective is to formulate policies for the implementation of innovative, high value-added, production-oriented bioeconomic approaches by protecting natural resources and ensuring their viii rational use in ensuring the sustainable development of countries. According to chapter four, the literature and emphasizes how green marketing strategies are implemented to ensure long-term consumer trust from global brands to small businesses were examined. In addition, based on the findings obtained from the literature review, it is understood that green marketing strategies not only increase the brand reputation of companies but also make a great contribution to environmental goals, such as reducing carbon emissions and preventing waste. In the fifth chapter, where the theoretical framework is examined in detail, it is concluded that a greener and more sustainable workflow can be achieved in the aviation sector with the holistic processing of technology, policy, and efficiency measures. Another prediction obtained from the research is the contribution of market-based measures and subsidies to the sustainable aviation transformation in the same way to reduce carbon emissions with global regulations. In the sixth chapter, agricultural wastes and/or by-products used in the production of building materials are analysed. The results of the studies on the evaluation of these items are promising. Agricultural wastes and by-products can be used as reinforcement material in conventional concrete and mortars, in the production of insulation materials, in the production of lightweight concrete and soil-based composites. The seventh chapter provides businesses with a comprehensive approach to guide them towards a sustainable and agile future, offering strategic recommendations on how challenges encountered in this process can be turned into opportunities. Such a transformation aims not only for environmental and economic success but also for societal contributions. This book aspires, new ideas nexus green approaches about sustainability in many areas. The valuable authors dedicated to impact the literature to fill the gap of green ideas and transform innovative approaches. Sincerely, Ayten Nahide KORKMAZ 10.03.2024 Florya/İstanbul
