This book contains the papers presented at a symposium 'Chemical Applications of Topology and Graph Theory' held at the University of Georgia, during the period April 18-22, 1983. The purpose of this symposium was the stimulation of interactions between chemists and mathematicians with the objective of acquainting chemists with new mathematical methods and mathematicians with problems of current chemical interest. The purpose of this book is to make the papers presented at this symposium available to a wider audience than the limited number of persons who were able to attend the symposium. The 34 papers in this book cover a wide range of topics indicative of the diverse applications of topology and graph theory to chemical problems.
