Supervision in a Changing World explores the range of skills and knowledge a child and adolescent psychotherapist brings to the practice of supervision. Featuring contributions from leading child psychotherapists drawing on their clinical and supervisory experiences, chapters highlight a range of individual supervision approaches. Key issues covered include the history of thinking around supervision; ethical considerations; the interplay between the supervisee and supervisor experience; the complexities of service supervision; working with trauma; and supervising work with children and adolescents with disabilities. The book will also give direct insight into preparing process notes and report writing, research supervision, supervising colleagues in different settings and countries and the training school perspective. Attention is also paid to diversity and power dynamics and the implications of ‘remote’ supervision (both before and since Covid-19). One of the few works specifically dedicated to child psychoanalytic psychotherapy supervision, this book aims to meet the needs of child psychotherapist supervisors and those training to become supervisors. It will also be useful for professionals in allied professions, and those who are interested in therapeutic work with children.

The XXII International Congress for Analytical Psychology was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and for the first time in South America. It was also the first such congress delivered in hybrid form, bringing together IAAP members from all over the globe – in person and on screens. Guests interested in Jungian thinking from various other academic fields were invited and joined in the conversations. The theme of Opening to the Changing World was explored as we come out of a pandemic and face the imperative of fast changes to our ways of working and relating to people, living beings and the planet we inhabit. The Congress offered again ways of exploring themes via a rich programme of pre-congress workshops, masterclasses, plenary and breakout presentations and posters. The Proceedings are published as two volumes: a printed edition of the plenary presentations, and an e-book with the complete material presented at the Congress. To professionals as well as the general public, this collection of papers offers a cross-section and inspiring insight into contemporary Jungian thinking, spanning from classical theories to the latest scientific research. Power In A Changing World Economy written by Benjamin J. Cohen and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-10-30 with Political Science categories.
This book is about power in a changing world economy. Though power is ubiquitous in the study of International Political Economy, the concept is underdeveloped in formal theoretical terms. This collection of essays analyses recent experience in East Asia to advance our theoretic understanding of state power in IPE. Over the last quarter century, no other region of the world has had a greater impact on the global distribution of economic resources and capabilities. China, with its "peaceful rise," now stands as the second largest national economy on the face of the earth; South Korea and Taiwan have become industrial powerhouses; Hong Kong and Singapore are among the world’s most important financial centres; and new poles of growth have emerged in several southeast Asian countries – all while Japan, long the region’s dominant market, has slipped into seemingly irreversible decline. The volume’s nine essays, contributed by leading scholars in the United States, Britain and Taiwan, aim to extract relevant inferences and insights from these developments for the study of state power. All are framed by a core agenda encompassing four key clusters of questions concerning the meaning, sources, uses, and limits of power. These essays ask: What new lessons are offered for power analysis in International Political Economy?

Advances in Business Education & Training is a Book Series to foster advancement in the field of Business Education and Training. It serves as an international forum for scholarly and state-of-the-art research and development into all aspects of Business Education and Training. This new volume deals with several aspects of the challenge to design learning in and for a changing world. The first part concerns program development. How to build curricula that are future-proof? Principles to innovate our curricula are identified. It answers the question how we can incorporate the need for change in our thinking about curriculum-development and identify the necessary elements to incorporate in our curricula. The second part focuses on the increasing diversity of students and employees within our schools and organizations, in terms of culture, language, and perception of ability, gifts, and talents. This offers a range of opportunities, but at the same time can possiblyjeopardize some processes that are taken for granted. Chapters in this part analyze the processes that play a crucial role in dealing with this diversity and identify educational practices that can help to harvest the potential that lies within this diversity. The third part of this book digs further into the possibilities that are opened up by the implementation of ICT-support in our learning environments. E-learning provides tools to adapt these environments to the needs of an increasingly diverse student-population. In the last part we focus specifically on the workplace and how learning can be designed in such a way that employees are equipped for a shifting workplace. On the one hand it is looked how training can affect performance in the workplace. Does learning transfer to the work environment? On the other hand it is questioned how one can design affordances to trigger learning in the workplace.
