In many "believer denominations", we find countless meaningless events promoted and or celebrated. It is important to God that we understand what we celebrate all the time (even more than that we celebrate at all when we come together). This book titled "The Symbolic feasts of Christianity" is one important revelation that will help us understand this by prophecy of 2Thessalonians 2:3. The sons of perdition (like unto Judas Iscariot) are hiding in our midst.2Thessalonians2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. One thing is common to the son of perdition, it is the love of money. He directly or indirectly holds the highly acclaimed prosperity gospel. Yet many of them claim to be walking in the light of the New covenant. The basic principles of these irrelevant "religious celebrations" will come to light soon. Many that have been teaching false doctrines will thereby come to the light. The devil (using religious celebrations) has a report of luring people slowly but surely away from the firm conviction that the power of God alone brings us to our expected end. Without the revealed word, many people end up victims of unnecessary or "manipulative" practices which do not allow the lord's glory to be revealed. Reading this guide will help us to do only the right "routine things" (clearly making a distinction between biblical teaching and human observances). We are not producing herein a series of prayers and songs. We are giving a practical know-how about the spiritual significance of the retained key celebrations which we cannot ignore as believers after Jesus Christ. We study here the important elements that God will be seeking to find in every category of celebration. Apart from daily preaching or teaching of the word of God, all the associated ceremonial routines must be strictly scrutinized by the word of God. Symbolic feasts of our Perfection is a book filled with many colours. It is meant to assist believers at a time of rejoicing and fellowship. As designed to help believers when they meet together, it is the lord Himself that initiates our coming together (1Thes 5:16). He dwells at the centre of our coming together. We do not want to allow presumptuous activity in the presence of the lord (Deut 17:12-13). All our activity should be backed by a deep understanding of doctrinal values, a sound knowledge of him and a desire to be sanctified deeper even unto a perfection. His desire is to sanctify us and become one with us (Hebrews 2:11). I urge all perfecting churches to adopt and us this book. There is so much the church stands to gain when all religion is wiped out of our celebrations. We have what it takes to stand even the engrafted word of God (James 1:21). This book describes doctrinal applications during ceremonies of; -PASSOVER: The ordinance of love. -NATIVITY: The blessing of increase. -THANKSGIVING: The sanction of our submission to God. -MARRIAGE: The vow of togetherness in Christian homes. -ORDINATION: The first step into ministry. -DEDICATION: The consecrated life of the preaching minister. -PASTORAL APPOINTMENT: The consecrated life of the teaching minister. -BAPTISM: The separation and the start of ministry. -BURIALS: Concluding the earthly life and pilgrimage of a believer. -THE BENEDICTION: The blessing and brotherly salutations -PERFECTION FEASTDAYS: Celebrating spiritual impact by togetherness. In Christ in the Passover, Ceil and Moishe Rosen explore the meaning behind the different elements of the feast such as the bitter herbs, salty water, a sweet apple mixture, and the shankbone of a lamb. This book invites you to enter the celebration of Passover, rich with history and significance for both Jew and Gentile. God wasn't finished working in the lives of His people after the waters of the Red Sea parted. Both past and future deliverance are celebrated in this solemn and joyful feast. Through Christ in the Passover, you’ll trace God’s involvement through the history of this holy day—from the first Passover, all the way to the modern Seder. And in the revised editions of this inviting book, the authors show you how the death and resurrection of Jesus the Messiah are forever interwoven with the Passover and its symbolism. In Christ in the Feast of Pentecost, this engrossing book will quickly capture your attention as you realize the excitement leading up to this festive occasion and the richness it will bring to your understanding of both the Old and New Testament references. The authors treat us to the sense of anticipation that "cannot be overstated" as their insightful account of traditions leading up to this holiday unfolds...a boy's first haircut, bonfires, sweet treats, artful paper cutting, firstfruits. Shavnot will lead believers in Jesus into greater understanding of the significance of the omer, the waiting period, which foreshadows our watching for His return and gives further meaning to our work of building His kingdom. In Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles, David Brickner will captivate you with the rich imagery of this great festival. From the feast's origins of being celebrated with temporary shelters to modern-day observances--and even its meaning for heaven--you'll be enriched by this fascinating account.

The Development And Symbolism Of Passover written by Tamara Prosic and has been published by A&C Black this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-11-28 with Religion categories.

Tamara Prosic gives a new explanation of the origins, development and symbolism of Passover. First, she examines Passover from the diachronic perspective, tracing its development from the period before the centralisation of the cult until the second destruction of the temple. Issues with previous scholarship are considered, while at the same time she places the study of Passover within the framework of the new paradigm of historical studies of ancient Israel that advocates the indigenous Canaanitic origin of Israelites. The second part of the book is synchronic in its approach to Passover and deals with its symbolism. Prosic discusses Passover in biblical legends arguing that the pre-Yahwistic Passover was essentially a rite of passage. From there the investigation moves to symbolic elements of Passover such as time symbolism, space symbolism and symbolism of the sacrifice. This is volume 414 in the Journal for the Study of the Old Testament Supplement series.

This book is excerpted and expanded from: CONNECTIONS: A Guide to Types and Symbols in the Bible This book focuses on the Feasts of Israel under the Law of Moses, including the two great deliverance feasts (Purim and Hanukah), and concludes with the Lord's Supper and the Marriage Supper (of the Lamb). It is little known within the Christian world, but widely known in Judaism, that all of the Feasts of Israel are related to the concept of a wedding feast -especially the Feast of Tabernacles. This book is all about the profound symbolism of each of these feasts, and how they closely intertwine with each other. The culmination is a study of the progression from the Lord's Supper (Last Supper) and the Marriage Feast of the Lamb in Revelation. It includes some astounding truths about our relationship with the Lord, and tackles the question: are we married to the Lord, or only betrothed? There are seemingly contradictory passages in the epistles concerning this, but the puzzle is pieced together in a way that will prod the reader to find a closer relationship to the Lord. Even the prophesied supernatural "hiding" of the saints in the dark times to come are discussed Koinonia is also shown to be the great key to understanding all of these subjects, and the meaning of this word is explored in all its magnificence.

In the Hebrew language, the word "feasts" literally means "appointed times." God appointed Seven Feasts for the Hebrew people to celebrate and to remember until the end of time. Through those Seven Feasts, God not only spoke directly of his plan for mankind, but he also gave us some beautiful historical - and future - pictures of his plan of redemption and provision embedded within the precepts of the ancient Mosaic Law. As we look at each of these Seven Feasts, we should not only be amazed and astonished at God's consistency and perfection in all that he does; but we should also realize that each event prophesied in the Seven Feasts has, thus far, unfolded perfectly and will continue to do so in the time to come. The first Four Feasts were fulfilled in the days of Christ and the Early Church; but the last three await God's perfect timing for their fulfillment in the End Time.

In the introduction to 'Romance of the Hebrew Calendar,' author Raphael Ben Levi writes, "This book is about relationships, I make no apologies for it. When everything has been said and done, what are we left with that endures? Relationships, borne out of agape love. This is what the deepest and most authentic relationships are composed of from beginning to end." This absorbing and ground breaking book will inspire readers to develop a deeper relationship with God, and bring restoration to those who are spiritually broken. According to the author, there is a special heartbeat that pulsates through the veins of the biblical year which has helped shape the identity of the Jewish people. Written from a Jewish messianic perspective, 'Romance of the Hebrew Calendar' contains inspirational and fresh insights that are highly engaging and provocative. The main theme is complemented by a rich compendium of poignant stories and devotions drawn from Jewish tradition, historical archives and firsthand accounts. The Jewish festivals are lovingly presented to demonstrate a unified message of redemption. The months of the Hebrew calendar are accompanied by individual sections relating to the constellation connected to each tribe as represented by their banner or flag. The Hebrew word 'mazal,' from the plural word 'mazzaroth' is associated with the patterns of stars in the sky, and we find various biblical references to it such as in the Book of Job. In addition, 'Romance of the Hebrew Calendar,' contains individual sections for each chapter relating to the jewels of the high priest's ephod, their colours and their inherent connection with the twelve tribes of Israel. The combined messages contained within the biblical feasts, the mazzaroth and the jewels of the high priest's ephod, converge to form a unified declaration of God's love, revealed in Yeshua Ha Meshiach that will capture your imagination and attention. This book is beautifully written, easy to read and contains many insights and revelations that are interwoven and presented to make it a treasure to adorn every bookshelf.
