Mais les formes sont bien plus que cela, elles sont l'expression élémentaire de tout art martial. La création de championnats du monde a redonné toute leur importance aux formes, qui sont indiscutablement la plus belle manifestation d'un art martial. Les Poomsae que nous présentons dans le premier libre, du 1 au 8, sont les Poomsae dits " élémentaires " du Taekwondo, indispensables pour les premiers grades jusqu'à la ceinture noire. Dans ce livre, ils apparaissent tels qu'ils doivent être réalisés suivant les plus hauts standards au sein de la W.T.F., la Fédération mondiale de Taekwondo.
