Bagiku bukan hanya soal kisah cinta dan keindahan ala, namun menuls puisi bagiku suatu kewajiban yang datang dari sebuah kesesahan dalam diri saya, melihat kondisi sosial yang ada, carut-marutnya kebijakan para pemimpin, korupsi terjadi dimana-mana, bahkan penebangan hutan secara brutal dan liar, sampai penggusuran tanah warga, sawah warga terjadi di beberapa daerah. Misalnya pada tahun 2016 kian marak pembangunan apartemen dan gedung- gedung yang menjulang tinggi di kota Yogyakarta. Sehingga sumur warga sekitar mengalami kekeringan beberapa hari, akibat dari pengeboran air dengan jumlah dan volume yang ugal-ugalan. Masih banyak lagi kejanggalan di beberapa daerah marak terjadi. Seperti halnya tahun 2017 penambangan semen, pendirian pabrik semen di Rembang dan di Kendeng Jawa Tengah. Aksi terus dilakukan oleh warga setempat sampai akhirnya tak terbendung duka-lara mereka. Dari kejadian itu saya mencoba turun ke jalan namun belum berhasil. Kami dihadang oleh senapan gas air mata, Begitulah mereka cara membubarkan aksi masa. Tapi saya tidak menyerah, karena masih ada cara lain untuk terus memperjuangkan keadilan dan memerangi kedzaliman. Alternatif saya adalah lewat seni dengan menulis puisi dan membacakan disetiap ada kegiatan organisasi, seperti halnya puisi yang pernah saya bacakan sehingga banyak dikenal oleh kawan-kawan kativis dari berbagai organisasi yang berjudul : “ Tanah Subur Dipaksa Mandul”. Saya punya keyakinan untuk terus berkarya, karena dengan menulis puisi adalah upaya suntuk membudayakan sastra dengan bahasa yang sederhana, lugas cakap dan bernilai estetika serta memiliki nilai-nilai keluhuran budi. Menulis puisi adalah bentuk kesungguhan dan kecintaan saya terhadap tanah air. Menulis puisi ini tidak hanya untuk saya sendiri namun juga untuk semua pembaca sebagai penyampaian pesan moral, ide, gagasan, ajakan, kekaguman, terhadap nilai-nilai kearifan lokan dan nilai keluhuran budi yang telah terpatri dalam sanubari sejak mereka lahir. Menyadarkan kembali bahwasannya kita sebagai manusia kedudukanya adalah unsur terpenting dalam kehidupan. Seperti halnya kata almarhum Pramdoediya Ananta Tour , “ selama ia tidak menulis, ia akan hilang dari sejarah. Menulis adalah bekerja untuk keabadian”.
