Resource depletion and ecological risks are more than ever at the heart of societal and economic debates. In the 1970s, the developed countries saw the Fordist growth regime crumble in parallel with the growing awareness of the ecological issue. Since the first industrial revolutions, technological dynamics have been the cause of many environmental problems, and there is a consensus on the diagnosis. Integrated technologies reduce resource use and/or pollution at source by using cleaner production methods. This generally leads to a reduction in the by-products, energy inputs and resources used by companies to produce goods. Integrated production technologies reduce negative environmental impacts at source by substituting or modifying cleaner technologies. Examples of integrated, or cleaner, production technologies are the recirculation of materials, the use of environmentally friendly materials (such as the substitution of water for organic solvents), etc. However, the implementation of integrated production technologies is often hampered by obstacles related to cost, coordination and skill inertia problems and to the productive organisation of companies. In addition to the high investment costs of new integrated technologies, additional barriers may emerge depending on the nature of the environmental problem and the type of environmental regulation in question.

Smart agriculture is an approach to maintaining nature without compromising the basic needs of future generations while at the same time improving the efficiency of farming. The main achievements of smart agriculture in terms of sustainable agriculture are crop rotation, controlling nutrient deficiencies in crops, pest and disease control, recycling, and water harvesting, leading to a safer environment overall. Living organisms depend on the nature of biodiversity and are exposed to pollution due to waste emissions, use of fertilizers and pesticides, degraded dead plants, and so on. The emission of greenhouse gases affects plants, animals, humans, and the environment; hence, this necessitates a better environment for living organisms. The purpose of this book is to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements, challenges, and potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the future of intelligent agriculture. The book is primarily focused on equipping younger researchers, graduates, and professionals in the industry with the necessary knowledge to understand the advantages of AI technology, machine learning, and data analytics methods in improving current agricultural practices. Key features include the following: The book showcases the latest advancements in AI and smart agriculture technologies The text emphasizes sustainable practices supported by AI, highlighting how technology can enhance productivity while minimizing environmental impact Readers will learn how to harness big data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and optimize their agricultural yields

This book provides a descriptive overview of blockchain technology domain, we observe a transformative influence that has surpassed its initial application in Bitcoin and has permeated nearly all industries. The utilisation of distributed ledger technology presents a significant transformation in the realm of data management, trust, and transparency. Its impact extends beyond financial transactions and encompasses other domains like supply chain optimization, identity verification, and the development of decentralized apps. The process of transformation has been initiated in various industries, including finance, healthcare, and logistics. In contrast, there is a notable increase in the adoption of the smart circular economy frameworks as a response to the heightened acknowledgment of the environmental and resource-related obstacles linked to the traditional linear paradigm of "extract, produce, discard." The primary objective of the circular economy is to limit the generation of waste, advance sustainable product design, and promote responsible resource utilization through the facilitation of recycling, remanufacturing, and the prolongation of product lifespans. This movement holds significance for various industries, including manufacturing, waste management, and sustainable consumerism, due to its wide-ranging ramifications. Its unique characteristic is its capacity to connect these two realms, emphasizing the potential of blockchain technology in facilitating transparent data management and smart contracts to advance the concepts of the circular economy. The book offers a thorough examination of the topic, offering readers a grasp of the fundamental principles of blockchain as well as the dynamic field of sustainability. This renders it an indispensable reference for individuals interested in the interdisciplinary ramifications of technology on sustainability, and the transformative possibilities of blockchain within the realm of resource-efficient and environmentally conscious approaches. The book exemplifies a progressive perspective by demonstrating the significant role that inventive technology can assume in tackling the urgent issues of our era, revolutionising sectors, and influencing the trajectory of a more circular and environmentally conscious global society.

Energy Conversion Systems Based Artificial Intelligence written by Mahmoud A. Mossa and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-05-25 with Computers categories.
This book aims to propose advanced solutions based on artificial intelligence techniques for ECS in order to increase energy efficiency, ensure the safety of the ECS, and to improve the quality of the energy supplied to the grid. The efficiency and quality of the electrical energy produced depends mainly on the structure and efficiency of the control technology developed for the Energy Conversion System (ECS). To improve the performance of ECSs, it is interesting to design control systems that emulate some functions performed by the human brain. Among these interesting functions are self-adaptation, learning, flexibility of operation and planning in the presence of large uncertainties and with minimal information. Based on these aspects, artificial intelligence (AI) techniques can be developed and applied to solve the different control problems of ECSs. For academics, professionals, practitioners, and graduate students interested in the most recent research on the application of AI in ECS, it is the ideal reference source.
