Facilitator Reproducible Respect Worksheets, Self-Assessments, Exercises, & Educational Handouts. Respect comes in three forms — respect for self, respect for others, and respect for community and environment. Although these three forms of respect may not appear to be connected, they are interconnected in several ways. For people to show respect to others, animals, nature, environment, and the global community, they must have a deep respect for themselves. People are constantly attempting to balance their self-interests and the interests of others. A basic human value that individuals strive for is social interest, or the concern and respect for other people in the world and commitment to build a better future for others. Showing social interest and respect is so important that many view it as an indicator of positive mental health and overall wellness. The following model describes the respecting self and others cycle of wellness: Cycle of Respect. The Teen Respect of Self and Others Workbook contains five sections to help participants learn more about themselves, the skills they possess and those they need to learn to be of service to other people and make contributions to the welfare of others. Participants will learn about the importance of these skills in the development of personal and professional success. Self-Respect helps individuals identify their own level of self-respect by exploring their self-confidence, self-efficacy, self-acceptance, and self-love. Respect of Others helps individuals identify how respectful they are to other people through their courtesy, caring, tolerance, trust, and respect levels. Generosity helps individuals identify and explore their level of generosity with their time, talents, and resources. Kindness to the Global Community helps individuals explore how kind and respectful they are in trying to preserve the environment and by focusing on the universe, energy, nature, and kind-to-self lifestyle. Social Action helps individuals identify their altruistic level and to identify ways to be of service to others in the community by concerning themselves with positive views of others, welfare of others, sense of community, and social support. Includes Respect Worksheets. The Teen Respect of Self & Others Workbook, including the respect worksheets, is designed to be used either independently or as part of an integrated curriculum. Assessments and journaling exercises may be used effectively with either individuals or with a group. The following tools are included in each section: assessment instruments, activity handouts, quotations, reflective questions for journaling, and educational handouts.

To be able to reach personal and professional goals, self-esteem is critical. For teens, healthy self esteem is even more critical, emotionally and physically. Self-esteem dictates how teens treat and feel about themselves and others, assert themselves, view and act in the world, and take care of their basic needs. Self-esteem is so important that research suggests that low self-esteem can be tied to many mental and physical health issues. The Teen Self-Esteem Workbook is designed to help teens engage in self-reflection, examine their thoughts and feelings that either enhance or detract from healthy self-esteem, and learn effective tools and techniques for building feelings of self-esteem and self-worth. This book combines three powerful psychological tools for the management of aggressive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors: self-assessment, journaling and role-playing, to enhance empathy and allow teens to practice self-esteem building strategies.

"Every person is created with unlimited potential and special talents all their own. You are SPECIAL and worthy of love and respect. First you must LOVE yourself." In this book Teen Self Esteem: The Ultimate Guide Book to Improve your Self Esteem and Live a Happier Life Today, you will find the tools you need to change the way you see yourself. Through your commitment, focus, and work you will be able to develop and improve your self esteem and live a happier more fulfilled life. From birth to adulthood, your self-concept/self-esteem develops. Some parts of your story are built around how you see yourself, and the other part is how you think others see you. These perceptions of yourself and the responses of others combined with your genetic background make up the person you areThere are some fairly direct and simple ways in which high self-esteem demonstrates itself in us and others. Taken in isolation, looking at one trait doesn't guarantee a high level of self-esteem, but when all are present together, high self-esteem is certain.People with high self-esteem trust their mind and judgment, and therefore are more likely to operate as a thinking being. They stay focused on appropriate activities; this reinforces their trust in their mind.People with low self-esteem remain mentally passive when actions lead to painful results. They feel justified in distrusting their mind. People with high self-esteem are more likely to persist in times difficulties.People with low self-esteem are more likely to give up and just go through the motions of trying without giving it their best.People with high self-esteem persevere and succeed more often than fail. They respond to challenges and opportunities more appropriately and resourcefully.People with low self-esteem fail more than they succeed.People with high self-esteem have self-respect and require others to treat them respectfully. They send out signals and behave in ways that others will respond appropriately.People with low self-esteem lack self-respect: they accept discourtesy, abuse, exploitation by others as natural. They subconsciously transmit this, and people treat them at their own estimation.People with high self-esteem, not only feel better, but live better.People with low self-esteem submit to the inappropriate actions of others, and their self-esteem deteriorates all the more.To have high self-esteem is to feel confidently suitable to life and 'right' as a person.Low self-esteem makes one feel unsuitable to life, to feel wrong, not about different issues, but 'wrong' as a person.*** To have average self-esteem is to fluctuate between feeling suitable and unsuitable, right and wrong as a person. These inconsistencies are demonstrated in their behavior, sometimes acting wisely and sometimes acting foolishly, therefore reinforcing your uncertainty about who you are at your core.If one remembers that life's a journey, and that we all make wrong choices at times, we can grow from these experiences if we pay attention to how we got side-tracked. It should give each of us the strength and perseverance to reinvent ourselves to be the happy, fulfilled person which is our birthright.Go for It!!
