En Colombia, las memorias colectivas de las víctimas y los lenguajes artísticos a través de los cuales encuentran una expresión pública nos permiten navegar hacia el pasado para comprender de dónde venimos, los significados de las grietas que nos dividen, las marcas que han dejado los horrores que hemos recorrido, así como los corajes y las solidaridades que nos constituyen. Gracias a estas formas expresivas, el sufrimiento, los paisajes heridos, los miedos, las resiliencias, la voluntad de persistir y los desamparos experimentados por las víctimas se actualizan y se transforman en "pasado vivo" ante unos públicos que, o no han querido confrontar la tragedia, o no han logrado descifrar sus sentidos. Narrativas artísticas del conflicto armado colombiano reflexiona sobre cómo ha cambiado la relación entre arte y conflicto armado y de qué manera la mirada artística de las propias víctimas o de artistas consagrados se inspira en un compromiso empático con quienes vivieron los horrores del conflicto armado y una resistencia al olvido y a la impunidad. Las artes se convierten entonces en una llave para abrir las puertas a un futuro emancipado de un pasado convulso, pues permiten comprender de dónde venimos y cómo hemos devenido el país que somos para, desde esa comprensión, impulsar una voluntad de cambio. Este es el primer título de la nueva colección Construcción de Paz de la Facultad de Artes y Humanidades de la Universidad de los Andes, que busca contribuir a la discusión pública sobre el arte, el conflicto armado y la paz en Colombia, a partir de miradas complejas que integren enfoques de todas las áreas del conocimiento.

This book explores distinct forms of civil resistance in situations of violent conflict in cases across Latin America, drawing important lessons learned for nonviolent struggles in the region and beyond.
