The Order of the Templars was founded in 1119 by Hugues de Payens and eight other knights, companions of Geoffroy de Bouillon, including Geoffroy de Saint Omer and the Portuguese, Pedro Arnaldo da Rocha. The History of the Knights Templars is strongly connected to the Christian activities in the Middle East. The constant fights against the Islamic troops in Syria, Palestine and Egypt is one of the main reasons for the existence of these militarized monks like the Knight Templars. The Merovingian bloodline of Dagobert II, through his son Sigisbert IV, came to Godfroi de Bouillon, who captured Jerusalem in 1099 and was elected as the first Frankish/Merovingian ruler of Jerusalem and was inaugerated in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. He took the title Advocatus Sancti Sepulchri, that is Advocate or Defender of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. When Godfried and his god fearing mother Ida, left for there crusade, he sold most of his Estates, exept the chapel of Saint Dagobert in Stenay. The kingship of Jerusalem was partly elected and partly hereditary, the King was considered, a primus inter pares, (first among equals), and in his absence his duties were performed by his seneschal. Many of the most prominent members of the Knight Templars were some of the best connected and most powerfull European aristocratic families who were of Merovingian descent. The famous Knight Templar Solomon treasure was brought to France by the Templars, were it was kept safe for many centuries.During the French revolution the French troops advanced to Orval (in Belgium) were a part of the treasure was buried. but three days before, the monks of Orval brought the treasure to Montmedy on 7 oxcarts, were it still is to this day.

“This book is a must-read for anyone wanting to understand the true history of the founding of the most powerful nation on earth.” —Scott Wolter, host of America Unearthed and author of Cryptic Code of the Templars in America Using archival and archaeological sources, two historians reveal the hidden history of the Knights Templar and their travels to pre-Columbian America . . . and their influence on the Founding Fathers. Templars in America reveals the story of two leading European Templar families who combined forces to create a new commonwealth in America nearly a century before the voyages of Christopher Columbus. Henry St. Clair of the Orkney Islands, then part of Normandy, and Carlo Zeno, a Venetian trader, made peaceful and mutually beneficial contact with the Mi’qmaq people of what is now Canada. Proof of their travels is carved in stone on both sides of the Atlantic and can be found in documentary evidence borne out by a strong oral tradition that has withstood the test of time. Historians Tim Wallace-Murphy and Marilyn Hopkins demonstrate how this early contact with the Americas ties into the centuries-long development of the Templars and Freemasonry, which in turn shaped the thinking of the Founding Fathers—and the American Constitution. Wallace-Murphy and Hopkins also reveal the continuous history of American exploration from the time of ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, through the age of the Vikings. Templars in America is a wild ride from the golden age of exploration to the founding of the United States.

This book is about our family, a family who had no idea who they were in history. What we discovered, through genealogy, was a family whose bloodline is one of the most royal in Europe, from a Roman Senator to an Episcopal Bishop, to eight kings. Our family thought they were fishermen, from the lowlands of Scotland. This book is the story of our discovery, a shocking and magnificent discovery.

On the 18th March 1314, in Paris, Jacques de Molay, Grand Master of the Knights Templar, and Geoffroi de Charney, preceptor of the Knights Templar in Normandy, are led to the stake. Before the pyre at their feet is set alight, Jacques de Molay speaks to the watching crowd, proclaiming a curse on those who had wrongly condemned them. A month later Pope Clement V, who had helped to condemn the Knights Templar, died. Their chief persecutor, Phlip IV of France, followed him to the grave a few months later. And famine, plague and revolt were to follow. Was the Templar’s curse coming home to roost? The Templar’s Curse shows the Knights Templar under arrest, torture and trial, followed by penance for life. Chronicling the dissolution of the order after the trial in 1307, this fascinating new book investigates the consequences of the Templar’s persecution and their mysterious legacy. Curses, cruelty, political intrigue, revenge...the true story of the Knights Templar is better than fiction!

This fascinating new book explores what life was like during the Templars' stay in Somerset during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. It reveals the struggles over land ownership in the county, and introduces the reader to little known historical characters including William de Marisco, revealing his struggle with the Templars, and claim to the throne of England. The final chapter explores the controversy surrounding a carved wooden man's head discovered in a Somerset church. The author has found compelling evidence to suggest the church was not only built on Templar land, but had a connection with the Grand Master of the Order himself. Richly illustrated and compiled using original research, this book is sure to appeal to everyone interested in medieval history.
