Entendemos que hoje o alunado de administração e cursos correlatos tem como meta primeiramente estagiar, ou seja, realizar o que num passado não tão distante era um desejo presente apenas a partir do quarto ou quinto período do curso. Na verdade, as empresas recrutavam a partir do sétimo período e estava bastante claro que o desejo era tornar o recrutado apto para o trabalho em tempo integral, o que aconteceria no semestre seguinte. O recrutamento passou a ser realizado mais cedo, mas hoje ainda há pedidos de estagiários a partir do quarto período. E o próprio alunado já demonstra e se oferece ao mercado logo no primeiro período, e já um número expressivo a partir do segundo período. Acreditamos que os porquês de tal mudança estão claros: a busca por presença imediata no mercado, em face da extraordinária concorrência, e também a necessidade de somar alguns reais para sobrevivência. Nas instituições que adotam o estágio interno, essencialmente em pesquisas, é também crescente a procura imediata por estágio. Essas novas circunstâncias conduziram-nos a redigir um livro que, respeitando as inequívocas vertentes teóricas, fundamentais para a formação de alto nível, proporcione alternativas para ações no mercado de trabalho. Assim, neste livro será possível encontrar orientação em várias funções, permitindo, de tal forma, que o alunado possa conquistar o famoso "lugar ao sol" em organizações.
