This volume of Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing contains accepted papers presented at the SOCO 2024 conference held in the beautiful and historic city of Salamanca (Spain) in October 2024. Soft computing represents a collection or set of computational techniques in machine learning, computer science, and some engineering disciplines that investigate, simulate, and analyze very complex issues and phenomena. After a thorough peer-review process, the 18th SOCO 2023 International Program Committee selected 62 papers for publication in these conference proceedings, representing an acceptance rate of 50%. In this relevant edition, a particular emphasis was put on organizing special sessions. Four special sessions were organized related to relevant topics such as Machine Learning and Computer Vision in Industry 4.0, Intelligent Models and Frameworks for Smart Agriculture and Green Economy, Computational Intelligence Applied to Modelling and Control of Engineering Systems, and Applied Machine Learning (2nd Edition). The selection of papers was extremely rigorous to maintain the high quality of the conference. We want to thank the members of the Program Committees for their hard work during the reviewing process. This is a crucial process for creating a high-standard conference; the SOCO conference would not exist without their help.

Computational Intelligence For Analysis Of Trends In Industry 4 0 And 5 0 written by Joseph Bamidele Awotunde and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-06-17 with Computers categories.
Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 applications will revolutionize production, enabling smart manufacturing machines to interact with their environments. These machines will become self-aware, self-learning, and capable of real-time data interpretation for self-diagnosis and prevention of production issues. They will also self-calibrate and prioritize tasks to enhance production quality and efficiency. Computational Intelligence for Analysis of Trends in Industry 4.0 and 5.0 examines the trends in applications that merge three key disciplines: Computational Intelligence (CI), Industry 4.0, and Industry 5.0. It presents solutions using industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies, augmented by CI-based techniques, modeling, controls, estimations, applications, systems, and future scopes. These applications use data from smart sensors, processed through enhanced CI methods, to make smart automation more effective. Industry 4.0 integrates data and intelligent automation into manufacturing, using technologies like CI, Internet of Things (IoT), IIoT, and cloud computing. It transforms data into actionable insights for decision-making and process optimization, essential for modern competitive businesses managing high-speed data integration in production processes. Currently, Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 are undergoing significant transformations due to advances in applying artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, telecommunication technologies, and control theory. These trends are increasingly multidisciplinary, integrating mechanical, control, and information technologies. However, they face technical challenges such as parametric uncertainties, external disturbances, sensor noise, and mechanical failures. To address these issues, this book examines trends such as CI technologies as fuzzy logic, neural networks, and reinforcement learning and their application to modeling, control, and estimation. It also covers recent advancements in IIoT sensors, microcontrollers, and big data analytics that further enhance CI-based solutions in Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 systems.

Soft Computing In Industry 5 0 For Sustainability written by C Kishor Kumar Reddy and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-11-15 with Computers categories.
Soft computing and Industry 5.0 are two distinct concepts that, when combined, can have a significant impact on sustainability initiatives within various industries. Soft computing is a subfield of artificial intelligence (AI) that aims to address problems characterized by uncertainty, imprecision, and partial truth. It encompasses various computational techniques, such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms, and machine learning, which enable machines to deal with complex and uncertain data in a more human-like manner. Soft computing techniques are particularly valuable in sustainability efforts because they can handle non-linear relationships and uncertain data that often arise in environmental and social contexts. For example, they can be used to optimize energy consumption, waste management, and resource allocation in industries by considering various factors and trade-offs. The book highlights the latest innovations in intelligent systems in classical machine learning, deep learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), blockchain, knowledge representation, knowledge management, big data, and natural language processing. (NLP). The book contains many contemporary articles from both scientists and practitioners working in many fields where soft computing, intelligent systems and the IIoT can break new ground. Intelligent systems and the Internet of Things are now essential technologies in almost every field. From agriculture to industry to healthcare, the scope of smart systems and IIoT is as wide as the horizon. Nowadays, these technologies are extensively used in developed countries, but they are still at an early stage in emerging countries. The primary market of this book is senior undergraduate students, post graduate students, practitioners, researchers, academicians, industrialists, and professionals working in areas of core computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering and agricultural engineering. The secondary audience of this book is individuals working in the areas of manufacturing, agriculture, remote sensing, environmental engineering, health care, smart cities, smart farming, remote sensing, supply chain management and hydrology.
