From the beginning of creation it has been God's will that his children live in freedom. The human heart cries out for freedom and often searches for it in the worst places, because the church at large has not always been a model for freedom. BUT... Jesus is bringing freedom back to his church, to make the church beautiful again, to make the church attractive again, to make the church a place people actually want to go, not run away from. After all the bible does say, "Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty." Wherever Jesus is, in that place you will find freedom, wherever Jesus is not, in that place you will find an absence of freedom. This book is about my pursuit of freedom. Initially I chased after Hollywood's lying dreams of freedom in parties and sex, drugs and rock and roll, which left me in the slavery of addiction. Then I found freedom briefly in the arms of my savior before being ushered into the slavery of manmade religion. Then finally, Jesus rescued me from the clutches of manmade religion with his amazing grace. Join me in this journey as we pursue and protect this freedom that Father God wants us to have.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Readers will be astounded at the magnitude of God's love available in various areas of their lives. This often generalized, but unexplored topic will revitalize the hearts of each reader as they discover God's unconditional provision in the areas of: loneliness, broken heartedness, forgiveness, and spiritual hunger. In the premier book, Let God Love You, Smith presents God's love in a new light. Challenging readers to think of God's love as divine and different from mankind's version of love. Smith explains this as the basis of grasping one's ultimate purpose in life. The Healing Heart of God provides readers with hope for true joy in their daily lives. Drawing from the personal mission statement of Jesus found in Luke 4: 18-19, ...to bind up the brokenhearted..., Smith encourages readers to allow Christ to mend their pain from the past and chart their steps for the future. Tackling the often avoided subject of harboring unforgiveness, Smith encourages readers to release bitterness and refresh in God's love. Forgiveness explains that God provides the power for each one to forgive not only his neighbor, but also himself. In Never Lonely Again, readers will discover that no person can truly love or understand them like their Creator. Smith explains that ...man was not created for loneliness, but for companionship at the highest level..., the companionship of God's love.

An incredibly moving picture book biography of the man behind the hymn “Amazing Grace” and the living legacy of the song by New York Times bestselling author Carole Boston Weatherford and award-winning illustrator Frank Morrison. One stormy night at sea, a wayward man named John Newton feared for his life. In his darkest hour he fell to his knees and prayed—and somehow the battered ship survived the storm. Grateful, he changed his ways and became a minister, yet he still owned a slave ship. But in time, empathy touched his heart. A changed man, he used his powerful words to help end slavery in England. Those words became the hymn “Amazing Grace,” a song that has lifted the spirit and given comfort across time and all over the world.
