In a famous speech made to Western ambassadors at a reception in the Polish Embassy in Moscow in 1956, Nikita Khrushchev, Premier of Russia, said, ""We will bury you."" Many leaders in the West took this as a literal threat against the power of the West. In 1959 Khrushchev visited the US and was asked about the statement. He stated he was not referring to a literal burial, but that through inexorable historical development communism would replace capitalism and ""bury"" it. In 1963 while visiting Yugoslavia, Khrushchev said in a speech, ""I once said, 'We will bury you, ' and I got into trouble with it. Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you."" While many in the West worried about nuclear war from the former U.S.S.R., the real war to destroy America was under way right under the noses of America's citizens and most of them had no idea it was being fought. Khrushchev had indicated that the US would be destroyed from within without Russia ever having to fire a shot!

Since lying for the sake of Islam has been justified, even praised as "clever," the Islamic Republic of Iran is being maintained by LIES. They want all things Persian to go away forever and be replaced by Arabian radicalism. DECEIVED is a story of change and regression, honor and deceit. It is the tale of a modern-day "noble Persian" who lived in Iran from the early 1900's until the Islamic Revolution in 1979, and the American patriot who befriended him. One was reared to be a sheik, ride horses, and lead caravans across the desert. The other was born in Tenessee, served in the Korean War and eliminated threats to American interests; without question. Fate intervened to change both their lives forever and lead to the beginning of the end for Persia. Although it is historical FICTION, some of the events were actual happenings told to the author by those who were there. Pat Hale has a Master's degree in Divinity from Vanderbilt University in Nashville and is, currently, working on a History Master's at American Public University online. Pat resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
