Excerpt from The Anatomical Record, Vol. 14: January-July, 1918 We are at the moment too near to sorrow to sketch with full justice this life. I have been the more willing to give expression to our feelings, at this time, since I fully realize that no word Of eulogy of mine is needed to bring him to your appreciation. We are all familiar with the results of his labor. TO nearly all of us there has been a personal side, not revealed in printed page. To me, he has been a helpful friend of many years standing, one whose frank though kindly criticism as well as encouraging word, whether written or spoken, have been appreciated and have influenced my endeavors and will influence them to the end of my labors. Excerpt from The Anatomical Record, Vol. 21: April-July, 1921 The policy of the journal will not be materially changed, but an attempt will be made to hasten the publication of accepted articles, to adhere a little more closely to the original plan Of The Record, and to differentiate it more clearly from the american journal OF anatomy. In order to accomplish these results, it will be necessary to limit the length of the articles printed. NO definite rules can be laid down, but in the opinion of the advisory committee papers of five or ten printed pages will usually be much more acceptable than those necessitating greater elaboration; while notes on laboratory methods, preliminary reports, etc., will be considered appropriate subject matter. All contributors are earnestly and confidently requested to cooperate in this policy. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Excerpt from The Anatomical Record, Vol. 19: June-November, 1920 From Mr. Raines were secured the following data: The dog was born October 7, 1918; died from exposure to cold the night of January 9, 1919. Her father was a shepherd, her mother a bull-terrier; both parents were apparently normal. The litter included in addition to this abnormal individual one normal brother and three normal sisters. The six-legged puppy appeared in life otherwise normal and healthy, and was apparently but little inconvenienced in walking and running by the extra pair of legs, which she carried slightly raised above the ground. The unpaired tail was apparently under perfect control. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. An Introduction To Human Evolutionary Anatomy written by Leslie Aiello and has been published by Academic Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1990-09-11 with Social Science categories.

An anthropologist and an anatomist have combined their skills in this book to provide students and research workers with the essentials of anatomy and the means to apply these to investigations into hominid form and function. Using basic principles and relevant bones, conclusions can be reached regarding the probable musculature, stance, brain size, age, weight, and sex of a particular fossil specimen. The sort of deductions which are possible are illustrated by reference back to contemporary apes and humans, and a coherent picture of the history of hominid evolution appears. Written in a clear and concise style and beautifully illustrated, An Introduction to Human Evolutionary Anatomy is a basic reference for all concerned with human evolution as well as a valuable companion to both laboratory practical sessions and new research using fossil skeletons.
