Why is it that most of the speeches are dull, boring and have no power to hold the attention of audience? Likewise, why is it that so many speeches are well-researched, the substance is excellent, yet when it comes to the actual presentation of address, the oration has no strength to win hearts and influence minds? What are the important factors missing both in the preparations and presentations? And why is it that only a very few speeches are stunning? There are so many, countless, millions of lifeless, wearisome declamations anywhere globally. You can see them everywhere. Such is one sad reality in the world of speech profession. But then why are there some lasting and memorable masterpieces? And what is to be done to make every address a powerful piece--a power speech? The book is about the effective techniques to make power speeches win the hearts and influence the minds of audience. On how to make an impact and effect a change through the force of a short-span but powerful speech, to animate actions and arouse a movement, is the core emphasis of this manual. This great objective can be done by way of a masterful designing of one of the most important factors in speech--the carefully designed combination of verbal and nonverbal languages. It is primarily focused on the effective incorporation of spoken words into the sphere of nonverbal elements; such as, coached eye and eye brow movements, lips formation and other components of facial expressions; voice modulation and variation, tone management and control; hand and arm gestures and footwork; stage movements and theatrical presentation, and all the rest of the regulated body language factors in a speech to conquer. This is what a power speech is all about in this book. A speech to stun, excite and activate, to influence, motivate and move a mountain. The book can be an important speech kit by the following group of amateur or professional practitioners: Mass communication and journalism students, political and religious leaders, preachers and public speakers, inspirational orators, radio and TV broadcasters, active campaigners to win election votes, social activists for human rights advocacy, court room lawyers, senate/congress grandstanding specialists, military agitators, debaters and teachers; even including movie and theatre actors/actresses.The book is not about a lifeless classroom lecture or an academic, dull idea presentation, but all concerning an exciting power speech. A fascinating speech of power to intensely touch the heart and passionately inspire the soul. To move a mountain. Making the assembly speechless! This must be the foremost aspiration of all great speakers: Touching the hearts and enlightening the minds either to make a change or to ignite a movement or just to promote a business.Power speech is just only words but, look at history, it could achieve lot of incredible things. It can declare a world war or advance a global peace. Review the most important affairs in history. For the past two thousand years, beginning from Cicero to Trump, it is all about power speeches to war or peace, to progrpess or barbarism, to justice or massacre, to invasion or revolution--and a lot more. The book does not teach "what" to say but, rather, on "how" explosive do you say it to stun and win the audience attention, aimed at controlling and driving the assembly towards affection or excitement, concern or commotion, fervor or grief, and sadness or joy. It is an emotive elocution that makes the speaker ecstatic and fervent, hot-blooded and almost hysterical, but all the time under control, affecting his/her very own passion and impressing the congregation. It is abook geared at how the speaker is excitable and, at the same time, exciting the audince.

The Art of Public Speaking is a fantastic introduction to public speaking by the master of the art, Dale Carnegie. Public speaking is the process of speaking to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain the listeners. It is closely allied to "presenting", although the latter has more of a commercial connotation. In public speaking, as in any form of communication, there are five basic elements, often expressed as "who is saying what to whom using what medium with what effects?" The purpose of public speaking can range from simply transmitting information, to motivating people to act, to simply telling a story. Good orators should be able to change the emotions of their listeners, not just inform them. Public speaking can also be considered a discourse community. Interpersonal communication and public speaking have several components that embrace such things as motivational speaking, leadership/personal development, business, customer service, large group communication, and mass communication. Public speaking can be a powerful tool to use for purposes such as motivation, influence, persuasion, informing, translation, or simply entertaining. A confident speaker is more likely to use this as excitement and create effective speech thus increasing their overall ethos. Dale Breckenridge Carnegie (originally Carnagey until 1922 and possibly somewhat later) (November 24, 1888 – November 1, 1955) was an American writer, lecturer, and the developer of famous courses in self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. Born in poverty on a farm in Missouri, he was the author of How to Win Friends and Influence People (1936), a massive bestseller that remains popular today. He also wrote How to Stop Worrying and Start Living (1948), Lincoln the Unknown (1932), and several other books. Perhaps one of Carnegie’s most successful marketing moves was to change the spelling of his last name from “Carnagey” to Carnegie, at a time when Andrew Carnegie (unrelated) was a widely revered and recognized name. By 1916, Dale was able to rent Carnegie Hall itself for a lecture to a packed house. Carnegie's first collection of his writings was Public Speaking: a Practical Course for Business Men (1926), later entitled Public Speaking and Influencing Men in Business (1932). His crowning achievement, however, was when Simon & Schuster published How to Win Friends and Influence People. The book was a bestseller from its debut in 1936, in its 17th printing within a few months. By the time of Carnegie's death, the book had sold five million copies in 31 languages, and there had been 450,000 graduates of his Dale Carnegie Institute. It has been stated in the book that he had critiqued over 150,000 speeches in his participation in the adult education movement of the time. During World War I he served in the U.S. Army. One of the core ideas in his books is that it is possible to change other people's behavior by changing one's reaction to them.
