In the New Testament age, God is doing a specific work in His Son and through the Holy Spirit. He is entering into people that they may be filled with the element of God, and He is bringing these people, who are filled with His element, into Himself. This is the mingling of God with man; this is the building of God. The believers who have been mingled with God are built up together in Him. “The builded church is not composed of only human beings. Rather, the building of the church is accomplished by building God into man. When God is in all of us, and we are in God, we are one Body. This is the way that we are built together.” This building depends on the New Testament priests. These priests are not a special class of believers but rather the believers who are in spirit and can be built together in God. In order for the church to be built up, it is necessary for every believer to enter into the Holy of Holies and carry out their priestly service, that is, to pray in their spirit. Only by praying in our spirit can we become living stones that are being built together (1 Pet. 2:5). The present need is for the believers to be built together in spirit to become a living, spiritual temple as the Body of Christ for Him to obtain rest, to be expressed, and to be glorified.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984, volume 3, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from March 3 through December 16, 1984. At the beginning of March Brother Lee traveled to Brazil and spent most of March ministering there. At the end of March he returned from Brazil to Anaheim, California, and remained there until the middle of April. During the last two weeks in April, Brother Lee traveled to Stuttgart, Germany, and on his return to the United States he visited New York City; Washington, D.C.; and Newton, Massachusetts, during the month of May. At the end of May he ministered in Irving, Texas, and in the first few days in June he visited Denver, Colorado. At the end of June Brother Lee returned to Anaheim and remained there until the first week in October. From the middle of October until the middle of November, Brother Lee traveled to the Far East and ministered in Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; and Quezon City, Philippines. He returned to Anaheim for a few days in the middle of November, and near the end of November he traveled to Irving, where he remained until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into two sections, as follows: 1. Seventeen messages given in Brazil on March 3 through 10. These messages were previously published in a fifteen-chapter book entitled The Divine Economy and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Fifty-one messages given in Stuttgart, Germany; Washington, D.C.; Irving, Texas; Newton, Massachusetts; New York City; and Anaheim, California, on April 20 through December 16. These messages were previously published in a forty-four-chapter book entitled God's New Testament Economy and are included in this volume under the same title.

Twenty-four messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in the autumn of 1961. These messages were previously published only in Chinese in a book entitled The Visions of Ezekiel. Later, these messages were translated and combined with another set of twenty-four messages on Ezekiel given in Los Angeles, California, in the summer of 1971. The combined set of messages was published as the Life-study of Ezekiel. Neither the Life-study of Ezekiel nor the messages that were previously published in Chinese in the book entitled The Visions of Ezekiel are included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. 4. A set of entries made in Brother Lee's personal diary while he was in the Philippines and in New York City from October 29, 1961, through January 14, 1962. This issue of The Ministry contains a complete record of the twelve messages given during the 2005 winter training on the Crystallization-study of the Building of God, held December 26-31 in Anaheim, California. The crucial truth and burden embodied in these twelve messages may be summarized in four statements: (1) The building of God is the processed Triune God wrought into us so that under His continual dispensing we become His enlargement, expansion, and corporate expression. (2) The three tabernacles--the type of the tabernacle, the reality of the tabernacle, and the consummation of the tabernacle--reveal the goal of God's economy to have a corporate people to be His dwelling place for His expression and representation in eternity. (3) The intrinsic element of the work of the divine building is to minister the building and builded God into others for the building up of the Body of Christ. (4) The desire of God's heart is the building of God into man and the building of man into God for the building of a great corporate God-man, the New Jerusalem. These messages are being published immediately following the training in order that they may benefit the saints participating in the many video trainings that are held throughout the earth. The Reports section includes an update on the purchase of the Bower House property in England and highlights on how the new facility is being used to carry out the burden of the work in Europe. In the Announcements section we include the 2006 schedule of European and Middle Eastern events as well as a calendar, giving the dates and locations of the seven Living Stream Ministry conferences and trainings--the seven annual feasts--for 2006. One cannot measure the benefits derived during these feasts from the Lord's rich speaking in His ministry and the mutual blending and building up of the saints and the churches in the Lord's recovery from every continent.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1967, volume 2, contains messages and fellowship given by Brother Witness Lee from May 11, 1967, through January 23, 1968. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, Brother Lee visited San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and Sacramento in May before returning to Los Angeles at the end of the month. He then visited San Francisco in June and returned to Los Angeles at the beginning of July, where he remained until the end of October. In November and early December he spent time in San Francisco and Los Angeles and also visited Modesto, California; Corvallis, Oregon; Vancouver, Canada; and Sacramento, California. There is no record of his speaking in the latter four cities. He remained in Los Angeles from mid-December through the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into thirteen sections, as follows: 1. Five messages given in Seattle, Washington, and Vancouver, Canada, on May 11 through 17. Four of the messages were spoken in Chinese and subsequently translated into English. Our central focus is Christ as everything to us. In order to enjoy Christ and express Him, we need the church life, and to have the church life, we need the proper ground. Without the proper, definite ground, how can we come together to have the Body life? To say that we need a definite ground does not mean that we have to choose between two different, but divisive, grounds. It means that we need to come together, not to one certain place or another according to our respective understandings, but to the proper ground of oneness. When we come back to meet on the ground of oneness, we enjoy the Lord with His blessing (Psa. 133). Moreover, it is only when we learn to live in the spirit and exercise our spirit to contact the Lord that we will ever be truly spiritual. Regardless of how much we talk about spirituality and listen to spiritual messages, if we are not living in the spirit and do not know how to exercise our spirit to contact the Lord, we can never have genuine spirituality. These two things are vital—to be on the proper ground and to be in the spirit.

According to the available records, Brother Witness Lee ministered in Taiwan during the first half of 1956. In July he was in the Philippines. In August he traveled to Hong Kong, and he ministered there until early October before returning to the Philippines, where he remained until the end of January 1957. The contents of the ministry of Brother Witness Lee in 1956 are divided into three volumes. The first two volumes consist of his speaking in Taipei, Taiwan, in the first half of the year. The third volume is composed of his speaking in Taipei, his speaking in Hong Kong from August 15 to the first part of October, and his speaking in the Philippines until the end of January 1957.
