The Bible’s True History of Jesus: According to the King James Version is a biblical study on the three major aspects of the life of so-called Jesus, (1) his birth, (2) his Life, and (3) his Death. There is a false narrative about the life of Jesus. (1) There was no immaculate conception. He was conceived and birthed like every human being that has been and is walking on this earth. (2)The belief that he is God is a belief to deceive the people. (3) Jesus never died on the cross and came back to life according to the Bible. The Resurrection is the greatest deception that has ever been taught to the world. This book is a study and must be read and studied as such.

Essay from the year 2019 in the subject Philosophy - Miscellaneous, The University of Maryland, language: English, abstract: The Bible remains one of the most controversial books in history. It is one of the books that has had more said about it, either good or bad. The Bible encompasses many styles of writing such as fiction, description, prophecy, poetry, law and history. In fact, it is regarded as the foundation of Christianity in that it comprises God's holy word. However, some people strongly criticize the Bible as textually false, historically unreliable, scientifically wrong and ethically regressive. Most of the individuals who grew up accepting the Bible as factual reaches a point where they ask questions about it, doubt its teaching and even reject it. Until now, there has been a wide range of evidence in support of and against the reliability of the Bible.

The True History of God's Words. There is not one history of the Bible, but two. One is a history of God preserving His words through His people. The other is of the devil using the Roman Catholic church to pervert God's words through her scholars. Written in a down-to-earth style, and packed with cartoon illustrations by Jack Chick, Daniels shows that the Bibles Rome gave us are really clever counterfeits, designed to eliminate God's preserved words in English, the KJV. You will see why the KJV is the only Bible you can trust.

Is the Bible True? offers a lively, down-to-earth look at the origins and nature of the Bible. Minister David Ord and biblical historian Robert Coote address many of the questions raised when ordinary lay readers come face-to-face with dilemmas posed by modern biblical scholarship. Part I begins with the question of how the Bible should be read. Is the Bible True? traces the experience of a person who has grown up reading the Bible literally but who, on closer inspection, discovers that "literally" is not nearly literal enough. The study of Scripture that ensues leads to a new approach to reading the Bible and uncovering its meaning for today. Part II asks how the Bible came to be. Who began the writing process, and when? How were the books collected into the form we know now? Exactly what kind of book is the Bible? Part III shows how understanding the history and reality of the Bible can make reading it a more meaningful experience--especially in sorting out the difficult issues that confront us every day. Is the Bible True? succeeds in showing how a more sophisticated understanding of the scriptures can enhance rather than undermine faith. It is required reading for everyone who reads and studies the Bible.

In this lucid, insightful work, U.S. News & World Report religion writer Jeffrey L. Sheler draws upon years of investigation and in-depth interviews to tackle such controversial subjects as the recent Jesus Seminar, modern biblical archaeology, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the mysterious Bible codes. This solid exploration into some of the thorniest aspects of current debates about the Bible and religion concludes with a message of reassurance about historical accuracy, validity, and integrity of the Scriptures. Sheler's bold but balanced investigation discloses a Bible still worthy of belief in a modern age. In this authoritative book, renowned U.S. News & World Report religion writer Jeffrey L. Sheler sifts through the claims and counterclaims of contemporary biblical studies. After carefully investigating the full spectrum of cutting-edge research and conflicting reports, he challenges the popular perception that the credibility of the Bible has been seriously undermined by critical scholarship. Rather, he concludes that the weight of the historical evidence upholds the essential truth of Exodus, the Gospel accounts of Jesus, and other vital elements of the Bible. The author draws extensively from his own interviews with leading Bible experts and on-site reports from Israel and Egypt in his examination of scholarship's hot-button issues, including: Dramatic archaeological discoveries that both affirm and challenge the history in the Bible. The controversial quest for the historical Jesus and its sometimes flawed arguments and skeptical assumptions regarding the reliability of the Gospels. The amazing revelations of the Dead Sea Scrolls and other ancient texts that profoundly influence our understanding of the Bible. The mysterious phenomenon of The Bible Code and why there may be far less to its doomsday prophesies than meets the eye. Sheler's considerable experience as a leading religion journalist enables him to get to the heart of the issues without the jargon. Written in clear, compelling prose, Is the Bible True? Presents a sophisticated analysis informed by important scholarly work in lucid, accessible terms.

The Historical Christ And The Jesus Of Faith written by C. Stephen Evans and has been published by OUP Oxford this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1996-04-18 with Religion categories.

The story of Jesus of Nazareth, as recounted in the New Testament, has always been understood by the church to be historically true. It is an account of the life, death, and resurrection of a real person, whose links with history are firmly signalled in the creeds of the early church, which affirm that Jesus `suffered under Pontius Pilate'. Contemporary historical scholarship has, however, called into question the reliability of the church's version of this story, and thereby raised the question as to whether ordinary people can know its historical truth. This book argues that the historicity of the story still matters, and that its religious significance cannot be captured by the category of `non-historical myth'. The commonly drawn distinction between the Christ of faith and Jesus of history cannot be maintained. The Christ who is the object of faith must be seen as historical; the Jesus who is reconstructed by historical scholarship is always shaped by commitments of faith. A reconsideration of the Englightenment epistemologies that underlie much historical scholarship shows that historical knowledge of this story is still possible. Such knowledge can be inferential, based on historical evidence. A careful look at contemporary New Testament studies, and the philosophical and literary assumptions upon which it rests, shows that this scholarship should not undermine the confidence of lay people who believe that they can know that the church's story about Jesus is true.

The Real History of Jesus Christ The story of Jesus Christ goes much deeper than His crucifixion and resurrection. Few will dispute that a man named Jesus Christ lived 2,000 years ago and that He was a great teacher who impacted the world. Christ made a controversial claim-that He was the very Son of God, the long-prophesied Messiah-causing religious authorities in Jerusalem to reject Him, hate Him and eventually succeeded in having Him put to death. Likewise, the local Roman civil authorities also saw Him as a threat and became complicit in His execution. The religions of His day, both Judaism and paganism, opposed the growth of His teachings and used unlawful and violent means to try to destroy the Church He founded. The government of Rome also came to vigorously persecute the followers of this Jewish teacher from Galilee. Today, there is much confusion and questions concerning this controversial figure. Gospel Truth written by Russell Shorto and has been published by Open Road Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-09-04 with Religion categories.

Russell Shorto meticulously investigates Christian history and the Bible’s New Testament to reveal the true, historical Jesus Christ. For roughly two thousand years, the world has known only the biblical depiction of Jesus: the virgin birth, miraculous life, and resurrection. Recently, scholars have pursued the historical Jesus Christ by poring through texts, examining ancient documents, and even holding votes. They make a fresh attempt to answer some of history’s greatest questions: Who was he? Where did he live? What did he think? And was the Bible’s account true? In Gospel Truth, bestselling author Russell Shorto (The Island at the Center of the World) brings a journalist’s eye to the life of Jesus Christ. Shorto looks into the Jesus Seminar, where historians seek and analyze evidence of the world’s most famous carpenter’s son. He compiles their research and ideas to create a composite biographical portrait of Yeshu, a man of ordinary beginnings who changed the world in extraordinary ways. A skillfully compiled biblical interpretation, Shorto shows “a Jesus stripped of the unhistorical” (Library Journal). The result will fascinate believers and nonbelievers alike.
