A new world order under the Brotherhood has been established. It is a world of one government, one world time, one religion. Benjamin Oraon, a young man in his twenties, from Jharkhand, India, is struggling with his identity as a Naxalite. He embarks on a journey to discover his own truth, a journey to find his love back and a journey which pits him against the monstrous Brotherhood, which rules the world. But is he a willing warrior or just a puppet in the hands of forces beyond him? Will he succumb or survive? Jane in San Diego, USA, finds herself leading a bunch of outlaws against the unholy-warriors. She is searching for hope, love and friendship in a desert which is an inferno for humanity. The memories of past propel her, the will for a future of freedom fires her up. But is her war enough to topple the Regime of the invincible Brotherhood? Korfa, wakes up in a hospital in Khartoum, Sudan, to find his world changed forever. He embarks on a journey of chaos and revenge. Bruised by life, hit by love, Korfa crosses the continents to satisfy his fire of revenge. His journey leads to his unwilling encounter with the Brotherhood, which decides his fate. Will it finally give him salvation or add more chaos to his life? What price will he pay for his revenge? Saief, held a prisoner in Locarno, Switzerland, escapes into a world of religious extremism. Having lost his wife in the Syrian crisis, he contemplates over the interpretation of Islam. How will he deal with his faith in a faithless new world? Will he join the forces against the Regime? Will he accept the violent version propagated by the Brotherhood, or will he fight for his own interpretation? Is religion the only loyalty that matters? Or will love and compassion break the barriers? Will sanity return to the world or will the fire of fanaticism consume the world, forever? Will there be a world of real brotherhood, beyond The Black Barrier?

Barrier options are a class of highly path-dependent exotic options which present particular challenges to practitioners in all areas of the financial industry. They are traded heavily as stand-alone contracts in the Foreign Exchange (FX) options market, their trading volume being second only to that of vanilla options. The FX options industry has correspondingly shown great innovation in this class of products and in the models that are used to value and risk-manage them. FX structured products commonly include barrier features, and in order to analyse the effects that these features have on the overall structured product, it is essential first to understand how individual barrier options work and behave. FX Barrier Options takes a quantitative approach to barrier options in FX environments. Its primary perspectives are those of quantitative analysts, both in the front office and in control functions. It presents and explains concepts in a highly intuitive manner throughout, to allow quantitatively minded traders, structurers, marketers, salespeople and software engineers to acquire a more rigorous analytical understanding of these products. The book derives, demonstrates and analyses a wide range of models, modelling techniques and numerical algorithms that can be used for constructing valuation models and risk-management methods. Discussions focus on the practical realities of the market and demonstrate the behaviour of models based on real and recent market data across a range of currency pairs. It furthermore offers a clear description of the history and evolution of the different types of barrier options, and elucidates a great deal of industry nomenclature and jargon.

The history of sports and race is messy. In baseball Jackie Robinson is universally touted as the first black major league player, which conveniently forgets Moses Fleetwood Walker and other players of color who appeared on 19th century diamonds. Football deals with the messiness a different way. The sport employs the term "modern era" instead. So Kenny Washington is the first black player of the "modern era." James Harris was the first black quarterback to start an NFL game in the "modern era." Art Shell was the first black head coach of the "modern era." The reason football has to append the qualifier to its historical racial milestones is because there was a man who was doing all those things back when the National Football League began. His name was Fritz Pollard, and this is his story.

Geochemical barrier zones play an important role in determining various physical systems and characteristics of the oceans, e.g. hydrodynamics, salinity, temperature and light. In this book, each of the 40 barrier zones covered are illustrated and defined by physical-chemical parameters. Among the topics discussed are the processes of inflow, transformation and precipitation of the sedimentary layer of the open oceans and more restricted areas such as the Baltic, Black and Mediterranean Seas. This well-illustrated book may serve as the basis for courses such as "Marine Geochemistry" or "Ocean Usage" and can be useful to researchers in the fields of geology, geography, marine chemistry, geoecology and hydrochemistry.

This book presents chapters, written by leading coastal scientists, which collectively depict the current understanding of the processes that shape barrier islands and barrier spits, with an emphasis on the response of these landforms to changing conditions. A majority of the world’s population lives along the coast at the dynamic intersection between terrestrial and marine ecosystems and landscapes. As narrow, low-lying landforms, barriers are especially vulnerable to changes in sea level, storminess, the geographic distribution of grass species, and the rate of sand supply—some barriers will undergo rapid changes in state (e.g., from landward migrating to disintegrating), on human time scales. Attempts by humans to prevent change can hasten the loss of these landforms, threatening their continued existence as well as the recreational, financial and ecosystem service benefits they provide. Understanding the processes and interactions that drive landscape response to climate change and human actions is essential to adaptation. As managers and governments struggle to plan for the future along low-lying coasts worldwide, and scientists conduct research that provides useful guidance, this volume offers a much-needed compilation for these groups, as well as a window into the science of barrier dynamics for anyone who is generally interested in the impacts of a changing world on coastal environments.

War Planning 1914 written by Richard F. Hamilton and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-11-30 with History categories.

The major European powers drafted war plans before 1914 and executed them in August 1914; none brought the expected victory by Christmas. Why? This tightly focused collection of essays by international experts in military history reassesses the war plans of 1914 in a broad diplomatic, military, and political setting for the first time in three decades. The book analyzes the war plans of Austria-Hungary, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, and Russia on the basis of the latest research and explores their demise in the opening months of World War I. Collectively and comparatively, these essays place contingency war planning before 1914 in the different contexts and challenges each state faced as well as into a broad European paradigm. This is the first such undertaking since Paul Kennedy's groundbreaking War Plans of the Great Powers (1979), and the end result is breathtaking in both scope and depth of analysis.
