In the last 5 years, approximately 2.7 million people have been treated for epilepsy and between 0.5%-2% of people will develop epilepsy during their lifetime. Up to 5% of the worldwide population may have a single seizure in their lifetime. It is further estimated that 60 million people in the World have had at least one epileptic seizure in their lifetime.
